Do you like house parties?!

Question: Do you like house parties!?
A guy I know is having a house party on Friday and he invited me!. He had one a few months ago that I went to and I didn't enjoy it!. He really wants me to go to help make up the numbers but I find going to someone's flat and standing around with drinking beer with some music in the background and a bunch of random people to be really boring and embarassing!. Unless I meet someone really interesting I can never stretch the conversation beyond 10 minutes with each person!. I prefer nights out where there is dancing or a movie or maybe playing pool or darts in the pub, anything as long as you don't have to talk all the time!. I'm more-or-less teetotal as well so that doesn't help!. Am I just being boring!? What should I say to my mate!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
No, you're not being boring, I understand you!. If you don't find the people interesting enough to spend hours talking!.!.!. Just don't go (unless the guy is your boss, LOL)!. You can tell him you have a previous commitment this time, and maybe in the future simply tell him that you don't enjoy that kind of parties in general!. Last time I checked, it was not mandatory to go to boring parties!. If the guy is worried about the numbers, he must not be very popular and/or his parties must not be that fun!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love house parties, I find them more relaxing than going out to pubs/clubs all the time!. If you don't know anyone there though, I can understand they wouldn't be that enticing!. I'm not an overly sociable person either, and would feel just the same as you, especially if I wasn't drinking anything!.

To answer your questions, yes you are being boring, you are slightly letting your mate down, but if you don't wanna go then I wouldn't worry about it too much!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

standing around, tlaking and drinking, doesn't get funner by the party!.
your friend needs some music!.
say you have a date!.
then say it went horrible and that you wish you went to his party instead
that way you'll get the sympathy points AND brownie points for saying you wishyou were there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tell him you can't, if you don't want to!.
say something like
*i don't have anything to wear!.
*Sorry i have plans!.
make something up!.

yes ofcourseWww@FoodAQ@Com

Get the word spread some how to get a strobe light and get some more dancing in this time or hope to that kinda talk going!. It will get back if you maybe ask the right person if that is going to be there!.
If the worst case is it is the same go and make your appearance and that is what it is and be the better person!. State that you give it your appearance and after an hour you have a signal so to go and dance or someone then suggests to get some dancing gong on there or it is what is boring!. There is nothing wrong with getting things started some how and or leaving as a bunch of people to a dance floor!. Either way be the better person, mingle to say you did it, do not hold anything against one, look your best and get nice cocktail and the time is for one evening not life!. It is also ok to maybe say if this night is all about you and I do this for you and will be your girl and when we get home your giving me a most wonderful bubble bath!.!.!.!.!.Think and enjoy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
