I'm making a menu to entertain... what choices sound best to YOU?!

Question: I'm making a menu to entertain!.!.!. what choices sound best to YOU!?
I'm entertaining next week- I'm only going to have one of each of these and I have narrowed it down to 1 of 2 'starters', 1 of 2 salads, and 1 of 2 entrees!. Which of these sound best to you!? I know who my guests will be and there are no vegetarians, no allergies!. Thanks--

STARTER:
1!. black eyed pea hummus, served with whole wheat pita bread, or
2!. homemade idaho potato chips, served with gorgonzola fondue and scallions

SALAD:
1!. chopped salad with chili-ranch dressing: iceburg lettuce, pimentos, boiled peanuts, vidalia onions, english cucumbers, herloom tomatoes, cornbread croutons, OR
2!. wedge with roasted tomato & gorgonzola dressing- iceberg wedge, applewood smoked bacon, heirloom tomatoes, shredded carrots, english cucumbers

ENTREE:
1!. penne pasta with best organic & local veggies that day, roasted tomatoes, spinach, parmesan cheese, & fire roasted tomato sauce, & the freshest catch, OR
2!. fish tacos- fried flounder, avocado aioli, iceberge lettuce, pico d'gallo, all wrapped in corn tortillas and served with refried black eyed peasWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Mmm!.!. I'd choose starter no!.2, salad no!.2 and entree no!.1 please!!

Except I'd change to gorgonzola in the dressing otherwise with the starter that is gorgonzola twice (and I love the sound of the starter!) And maybe a softer pasta instead of penne - fish can be hard to plate on such a "structured" pasta - what about stropaprezzi or taglietelle!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Starter:
2!. homeade idaho potato chips, served with gargonzola fondue & scallions

Salad
1!. chopped salad with chili-ranch dressing: iceberg lettuce, pimentos, boiled peanuts, vidalia onions, english cucumbers, herloom tomatoes, cornbread croutons!.

Entree:
1!. penne pasta with best organic & local veggies that day, roasted tomatoes, spinach, parmasean cheese, & fire roasted tomato sauce, and the freshed catch

i personally would prefer #2 for a starter, #1 for a salad, & #1 for an entree!. they all sound delicious though - you must be quite a cook! :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Starter #2 (Fondue sounds inviting!)
Salad #2 (Love the Wege!)
Entree #1 (Sounds fresh & Delicious!)Www@FoodAQ@Com

YUmmm u made my mouth water hehe!.!.

go for 2 2 and 1!.!.!.just delicious!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Starter: I would do the Homemade Potato Chips!. This is something different, fun, and quirky!.

Salad: I would prefer the chopped salad est!. the chili-ranch dressing!.

Entree: Personally, I love fish tacos and would go with this!. I think that it is a nice tie in with the other two options!.

I would caution you about doing both a gorgonzola fondue (App!. 1) and a gorgonzola dressing (salad!. 2)!. I know that it is a really strong flavor and if someone doesn't like it they they may be out of luck for 2 separate courses!.

If you would prefer to do the hummus for the appetizer you can always do a chocolate fondue for dessert!. This is fun and a great thing to do with close friends!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Starter: definitely HUMMUS, since I don't like gorgonzola cheese

Salad: Chopped salad - since iceberg wedges are so boring, and went out of style decades ago and, again, that gorgonzola cheese:)

Entree: Either would be good, although the fish tacos work best with the chopped salad!. I think you need to rethink your starter, to make one with more of a Mexican theme, to match the salad and the tacos (maybe homemade tortilla chip nachos!?) !.!.!.!. And, if you DID choose the penne, then you should have a starter and salad with an Italian feel (like Caprese salad)!. You need a consistent ethnic theme for all 3 courses!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
