Fun! Can I come!? When I plan cookouts, there are always essential things I that need:

Obviously food!. Make sure you have the right accompaniments for what you serve (i!.e!. if you're doing hot dogs and hamburgers, make sure you have buns and ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, etc)!. I also like to have a bunch of side dishes like potato salad, cole slaw, regular green salad (don't forget salad dressing), chips, drinks, etc!. I usually try to do a veggie platter too!. Don't forget my favorite course!.!.!.dessert!

Plates, utensils, napkins!.

Seating

Music

Someone who's going to man the grill and help you set up and clean up!.

You might want to make up address cards since this is a new home for you (congratulations!)!. This way people have your address and can make changes in their address book!.

I'm sure I'm forgetting important things but those are the main ones!. Just let me know what time I should get there! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ahhhhh, sounds like fun!!

Well, for 30 people (I actually bbq'd for 30 people once), I would have:
-7 Tri-Tips (wash them, cut slices into them, mush them in rock-salt
and leave sitting for 25 minutes, tops, then wash off salt!.
Now they're ready for bbq-ing!. (Best you'll ever have!)

- About 20-30 links of hot Italian Sausage (Cook on top burner, so
juices drip onto Tri-Tip for extra flavor

-About 15-20 chicken breasts, marinated

-Cook up your own O'Brien potatoes!. Dice new potatoes and white potatoes, boil for about 10-15 minutes!. Drain!. Then throw in big skillet with Olive Oil, Butter, Garlic Powder, Salt, Paprika, Cumin, and add chopped green bell pepper, Red Onion - geez, I can't remember what else I put in there, but whatever else you like and fry up!.

Make a huge fruit platter, the bottom being covered in leafy lettuce - make it colorful and pretty!.

Make a huge vegetable platter, with leafy lettuce on the bottom!. Put any dip in the middle!.

Have plenty of chips and hommade guacamole and salsa

Make sure you have a LOT of ice and keep big coolers filled, one with beer and the other with assortment of water and soda pop, diet and regular!.

Other than some decor, this should do it! :-D Happy Homecoming!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't forget the smores! =) And be sure to have enough seating!. Have you ever used the punch syrup!? It comes in a huge gallon container (sold at Costco, Smart N Final)!. If you mix that with Countrytime Lemonade!.!.!.it is absolutely delicious! And you will never run out of beverages!. Thirty thirsty people would call for alot of sodas!Www@FoodAQ@Com

sparklers
a bucket of water/sand to put them in wen they're done
bbq food, sausages, chicken, burgers - make it wintery and maybe do baked potatoes and chili too!
sweets for the kids
lots of fireworks
good music
garden chairs/blankets
fairy lights up in your garden!
drinks

can't think of anything else at the moment!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
