Cooking for the inlaws and grandma, ideas pls?!

Question: Cooking for the inlaws and grandma, ideas pls!?
I have family coming to town for a few days!. its my inlaws and great grandma!. All are wonderful people and are not picky eaters!. However I'll have to cook for 8 people 5 adults, 3 kids ages ranging 2-80 years old!. My only limitation is my FIL cannot eat spicy foods!. I don't have alot of experience cooking for more than just my family!. most of what we tend to eat is geared towards toddlers LOL

Any creative ideas out there!? I'm going grocery shopping for it this weekend!. I'm also on a budget so I can't exactly get lobster or rack of lamb!. I'm sure I'll come up with something!. Just looking for inspiration!. My slow cooker cook book is missing otherwise I'd rely on that Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Lasagna or Baked Ziti can be made ahead of time and can be made in large portions! EASY to make! Garlic bread and salad! CHICKEN BREAST CUTLETS or pork cutlets with shake and bake or bread crumbs! YUMMY!

Anything on the grill- hamburgers, hot dogs, steak, marinaded chicken breast! A little for everyone! Kids and adults will be happy! Can do pasta salad and BAKED potato or mashed potatoes! A salad!

Brownies are easy to make! A pumpkin cake(using Libby's pumpkin puree in can) or apple cake would be nice for adults!

A nice big roast with potatoes, carrots and celery around it! I just made one last night! a salad!
GOOD LUCK!!!

The easiest would be lasagna, crispy bread, salad - the kids will like that too!. You can also make it ahead of time!. I'd put out some appetizers - crackers/cheese/grapes, raw veggies and dip, small antipasto platter

You can also do a roast beef if you have big meat eaters, some roasted vegetables like squash, zucchini, onions, carrots!.!. and roasted potatoes!.
