What are the ingredients to make a good salsa?!

Question:

What are the ingredients to make a good salsa?

Answers:
Tomatoes
Onion
Jalapeno
Cilantro
Garlic
Lime or Lemon juice
Salt & Pepper

Basic Ingredients: Good ripe tomatoes (it's all about the tomatoes. I use plum tomatoes this time of year), garlic, white onion, cilantro, jalapeno (if you want spicy), salt and pepper.

Traditional Mexican or Spanish salsa is based on tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Some chopped fresh veggie condiments are also referred to as pico de gallo. Which is salsa in English.

I use tomatoes, garlic salt, lemon juice, jalapenos, green onions, cilantro and I cut them up and put them in the bowl in that order... its the best way I've found to produce the juiciest yet chunky salsa.

Salsa

2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
1/2 onion, finely diced
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 lime, juiced
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup canned sliced green chiles, or to taste
3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

Combine the tomatoes, onion, garlic, lime juice, salt, jalapenos and cilantro in a blender or food processor.
Blend on low to desired smoothness.

1/2 cup finely chopped Cilatro
1/2 cup Chopped Green Onions

Combine all vegetables together in a large bowl and squeeze in lemon juice and vinager, sprinkle on salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Chill for 3 hours and enjoy!

My husbands family is Hispanic and this is on of the salsa's they use:

dried hot california chilies
dried arbol chilies
small can of tomato sauce or roma tomato roasted
1/4 white onion
2-3 cloves garlic
salt to taste

heat oil in frying pan and place dried chilies (seeded) in hot oil for 10 seconds. Then put them in a blender, along with the rest of the ingredients and blend.

Another one called salsa pinta (simpler)

roast 3-4 jalepenos and 3-4 roma tomatoes remove skin. use about 3/4 cup of cilantro and blend all together. Really good.

To Make good Salsa take tomtoes, chop up good, chop up some onion, one jalepeno chopped, add tTbsp fresh cilantro, salt to taste, sprikle a little cumin and or chile powder in there, give it a good stir ,let sit for 30-60 minutes for flavors to marry, now ENJOY!!! (you may serve as is chunky style or put in blender for a smoother salsa)If you like garlic chop up one or two cloves and throw in there.A little lime juice is good to!!

fresh tomatoes
kosher salt
serrano peppers

sour Orange or fresh lemon, juice chop ed onions tomatoes, cilantro black peeper salt jalapenos and a pinch of brow sugar.

When I make salsa I put loads of fresh, ripe tomatoes, white onions, mushrooms, banana catsup, hot sauce and cream cheese. Try it. :)

But do not mix everything; make layers instead. And consume it as soon as possible. With the tomatoes and cream cheese, it's prone to spoilage.
