Sugar Cookies in the shape of Chnristmas characters. For example, Santa, Frosty, Tree, Stockings and even shaped like Gifts. Gingerbread goes across well too. They taste very well with coco, coffee, and tea. Have fun at your Christmas party.

SUGAR COOKIES...

I learned to make potato candy from my mama. It's a lot of work, but it's delicious. Boil a potato, get it good and soft. Put it on a big mixing sheet, mash it up, then start sprinkling powdered sugar on it and mix it in. With a big potato you should be able to mix in a whole box of sugar. Then use a roller and spread it out as thin as possible. At least a quarter inch. Then spread peanut butter all over it. Then roll it up and put it in the refrigerator. After it's chilled cut it into slices. Makes great bite size morsels.

I love Lemon Sugar Cookies. Just made a few batches today!! YUM!!

Frosted sugar cookies!!!

There used to be a fine oatmeal cookie recipe on the Quaker oats box--but you have to use the real thing i a quality oatmeal cookie, nothing for quick cooking. Since eating those when my mother made them, I have discovered the real Danish butter cookie, and these two are still the ones for me.

My favorite... I usually make these every Christmas for my cookie baskets. My recipe book calls them coconut angels and doesn't have almonds, but this is a similar recipe:

If you want to prepare homemade cookies, it'll take you much time. My favorite cookies are the original Christmas cookies ( their recipy varies from region to region) always having some cimnammon and rum scent.

Have a great Christamas!
