Question: What are some ways to cut costs for an employee Holiday Party without making it "cheap"!?
We have approximately 100-110 people!. We are already moving from an open bar to providing 2 drink tickets per person!. Thanks for your ideas! We typically do something slightly more formal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Instead of having an open bar or a 2 drink tickets per person why not have red wine, white wine, beer, and an alchol punch like a southern comfort type or a champagne punch -!. Liquor is more expensive and wine can be cheaper plus you get discounts when you buy in bulk (cases) I also think people don't get as drunk!

Chicken or fish as the main dish of course is always cheaper!. I got be honest and say that I prefer stations (tables that are grouped by food choice) rather than a covered served dish at my table because there's always something I waste while when I go up to a station I can say I want a little of this or a lot of that!.

Instead of renting a facility if you have the space to do it in a conference room at the job that would save a big expense!.
You could just buy decorationsflowers to brighten it up!.
If you do have to rent a space Fridays and Sundays are cheaper than Sat!.

If youre allowed to bring in your own cakes and desserts that's another way to cut expenses!. you can buy great desserts from Costc-cheesecakes, sheet cakes, pies, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Decorations and paper goods usually cost quite a bit!. You can save a ton of money by getting them from somewhere like orientaltrading!.com also, stay away from decorated plates!. The solid color ones are less money!. As far as food, things like pasta dishes are cheaper to make/buy and go a long way!. If you are providing the food, etc!.!.!. you can always shop at wholesale places like Sam's Club or Cosco!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would assign either different departments or people to be responsible for bringing different dishes to eat, I would also have it at the place where you work, renting a place just seems too much hassle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
