Please can I have your finger-food recipes?

I have to fix something to take to my fiance's mom's family Christmas Dinner Friday evening. I was told to bring a finger-food and left up in the air after that. I have been on cooks.com and allrecipes.com trying to find something. But I would like to get recipes from people who have actually MADE the recipe, that way you can tell me if its really good or not. SO PLEASE, send me recipes that you have actually tried and let me know how it turned out. Please don't copy and paste from a recipe website...THANKS!

SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP is amazing. here's a recipe I like:

1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach
2 (13 3/4-ounce) cans artichoke hearts
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan
1 cup grated pepper jack cheese

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a casserole dish with nonstick spray.

Heat the spinach in a microwave oven on high for 5 minutes and squeeze dry. Drain the artichoke hearts and coarsely chop in a food processor.
Combine all the ingredients except the jack cheese in a large bowl. Stir well. Scrape into the prepared casserole dish and sprinkle the jack cheese on top. Bake for 30 minutes. Transfer to a chafing dish and keep warm over a low flame.

Serve it with tortilla chips... especially Santitas brand. those are good.

get thin sliced turkey breast, put spreadable port wine cheese and green olives and roll up. people always gobble them down, hey cookies idea sounds good as well

Pin wheels - take one package of cream cheese, lightly softened, and mix in 1 packet of ranch dip mix. Spread on 4 large flour tortillas (and try the flavored ones, as they add more color and flavor), and roll tightly. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Slice and set on a platter.

Delicious! Made them many times!

cut bread into 1 inch squares and spread with this.sit under broiler till toasted.
4 slices bread
half stick butter
american cheese(cut into small pieces)2 slices
fine chopped onion 1tablespoon

Pickled Shrimp - the best part is that you can easily transport these in a ziplock bag and put them in a glass bowl when you arrive. It sounds like an odd recipe, but I've never met anyone (who likes shrimp) who didn't LOVE these.

1 cup thinly sliced red onions
4 bay leaves, crushed
1/3 cup capers, drained and coarsely chopped
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon coarse or kosher salt
1 teaspoon celery seeds
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined ( I buy them precooked in the frozen section)

In a large zip lock bag, combine onions, bay leaves, capers, lemon juice, vinegar, olive oil, garlic, salt, celery seeds and red pepper flakes. Add shrimp and stir to coat.

Refrigerate overnight, turning bag a couple times to coat evenly.

I serve this in a clear bowl with thinly sliced lemons as garnish.

Here's a fun one:
cook up Little Smokie sausages.
Wrap each in a won ton wrapper. Bake at 325 for 5 to 7 minutes or fry up until brown and crispy. Serve with spicy Chinese mustard.
Another easy one:
buy cubed cheddar or jack cheese. Spear a toothpick through into a square of Ortega chili, then into a bit of soft flour tortilla. Melt in the microwave or oven.
Also, make finger sandwiches of chicken salad, or ham and pineapple, turkey and avocado. Use the cocktail size breads from the deli.

I make Enchilados, those mexican tortillas filled up with either chicken, peppers, salad or just have salad in them.

These are easy and everyone loves them

You take 2 packages of crescent rolls and unroll them.. IN a bowl you add 2 pkgs of cream cheese
2 TBS of worsteshire
2 chopped spring onions
1/2 package of oscar meyer bacon bits
spread mix over the rolls and then roll it up, slice and bake..

baked brie with nice bread.

I have posted this before but these alway get lots of attention when I take them to parties

Take a lil smokey and wrap 1/2 a strip of good raw bacon around it. Roll it in brown sugar and bake at 375 for 25 minutes or the bacon is done. Sprinkle more brown sugar on when they are fresh from the oven.

We call them Pig n' a Pig
