What should my budget be for my birthday party?!

Question: What should my budget be for my birthday party!?
I am turning 15 years old on November 10, and I'm planning to have a relatively small birthday party at my house!. I have planned to have 12 guests attend and have food, entertainment, and of course FUN!However, I think it's important that I set a budget for myself so I don't end up overspending or underspending for the necessities for my birthday party!. What is the ideal price range that I should be spending!?

Thanks to everyone in advance for answers! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm turning 15 too soon! But in January!. Blah your lucky haha!.

Well first off if your thinking of hiring a DJ DON'T!

Just use your iPod & make a party playlist on iTunes!. All you need is a speaker dock!. There are cheap ones out there that are just as good as the $200 ones!. I got mine for 30 dollars at Target & its pretty cute then just the old plain white ones!.

Party Mart & Party City have cheap stuff!. So does Target & Walmart!.

also is there a theme!? If there is then it might cost more!.

Now for food!. You could cater but that would cost like 500 maybe even more!.

You could just cook your own food!. & cake too! Trust me when baking your own cake it tastes way better then the store bought ones!. If you want to buy your own though then go to Dairy Queen & buy one!. They taste amazing & the only store bought cakes I eat!.

There are a ton of recipes on Food Network!.com

Here's the site!.

http://www!.foodnetwork!.com/topics/birthd!.!.!.

There are recipes for people on a budget too

http://allrecipes!.com/HowTo/Cooking-on-a!.!.!.

For games just google up party games!. There will be a ton of results like this one for example

So adding all that up the estimate cost I would say would be if your really careful 150-200ish!.

Hope this helps!.

& Happy Early Birthday!

Maybe $20 bucks a person!.
That should cover food and refreshments and a little thank you!.

Save $$ by loading your favorite music onto your Ipod Playlist and playing it from a speaker/player!.
Then you can hire a DJ for the last hour or hour and 1/2 and save a little!.

I have a great portable speaker w/ipod dock that I use at work, at home or anywhere else!. I made a playlist for each occasion I've come across, and keep changing it according to what I want for the occasion!.

Have a happy 15th birthday by the way!!

Michelle your biggest cost will be the DJ, seeming your looking at having it at home, I have allowed based on 12 people $15!.00 per head and that is extreme tops!. I have not included FUN, that we will throw in no charge!. I have asked a buddy of mine here at work who does a bit of the DJ stuff as a sideline, what is the going rate, and he tells me minimum 4 hours $200!.00, That rate seems to be average!. Then if you divide the $200 by 12 and add that to the already given $15 that works out to be roughly $32!.00 per head!.

Save me some Caviar!. Happy BirthdayWww@FoodAQ@Com

Aren't you just the cutest!. Well first you need to think of a theme!.!.that way you would know exactly what kind of things you will need!. To save cost on food/ catering you and your guest should have fun making your own little appetizers!. Yea baking is fun and super girly, and it can help kill time!. also i know it might sound lame but BOARD GAMES!. There are some pretty fun board games out there!. And no i'm not talking about SORRY or CONNECT FOUR!. Look for some interaction games that you can do in a crowd!. also, if you have cool parents, have them teach you how to make non-alcoholic drinks (preferably frozen)!. Those are fun!. Anyway!.!.!.shop at Party City because it's pretty cheap and nothing beats good ole' Walmart!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends of a few things!. Like , who is paying the bill!? You are your parents!. How much you have saved!. Or how much your parents make!.
I know all wants you to have a wonderful party but things are tough out there these days!. I would think that 16 would be the big party!.Not sure what you taste is!.How long will it last!.!.At your home or are you having to rent a plaintiveuch to consider!.!.
Have it home and spend what ever you can afford without going over your head!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This site describes an Amazing Race party plan that is great for a birthday party, sleepovers, scavenger hunt, etc and is designed for kids aged 13 – 16!. The “legs” of the Amazing Race party plan sell on eBay quite cheap (like $5)!. Good Luck!

Your main expense will be food (unless you're hiring a DJ!), so if you allow about $5 per person, that will be $60!. That ought to be plenty for food, drinks, and maybe renting a movie or two!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

$100-$200Www@FoodAQ@Com

No more than $200 probablyWww@FoodAQ@Com

i suggest spending no more than 150! just saying!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
