Lance S, tailgate party wow, some thing that won't take up a mile of space in the car you can put the food in one cooler right!?, You can prepare the food at home

Clean your corn, some unsalted butter, season wrap in foil!.

Diced pork or Beef kabobs you add what you want as far as the vegetable content, make sure you have soaked the wooden skewers for a minimum of an hour before you use them, I would also wrap some foil where the handle part is!. You can put those in an airtight Tupperware, use your own marinade what your comfortable with!.

Now I will throw a curve ball to you, jumbo shrimp kabobs marinating in Extra Virgin Olive Oil and loads of crushed garlic and lemon juice!.All you need is three jumbo shrimp per skewer then placed in a airtight Tupperware with that marinade I just described to you poured over!.

The last can be skewers with pineapple, orange, mango, maybe some cantaloupe, just before you give them a light BBQ hit them with maybe a drop of Grand Mariner!.That would be the last you serve up, and stand back when your putting them on your Hibachi, don't over do them, just enough to leave the odd grill sear mark here and there!.!.

There is enough idea there, the quantity you want to make is up to you, if they are big eaters you make more!. Don't forget you have the corn to come off the BBQ!. I few cold beers and Whella there you have it, make sure you have a garbage bag!.

Do a potluck and ask your buddies who will bring:
Dessert (donut holes, pie, cake, brownies, etc)
Side Dishes (grilled corn, cole slaw, potato salad, etc)
Finger Foods (chips and dip, fried appetizers, mini sandwiches, deviled eggs)
Condiments (hot sauce, guacamole, bbq sauce, mustard, ect!.)
Booze or other beverages
Meat for the grill (bratwursts, fajitas, babyback ribs, hamburger patties, etc)
Eating utensils (napkins, plasticware, cups, plates)

If they are your real friends they will be more than willing to contribute!. I feel more involved and appreciated when I go to potluck parties!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The other posters have come up with some great ideas!. You may also want to try fried chicken drumsticks or barbeque ribs!. (make sure to boil the ribs first before barbecuing) Potato salad, corn cobbets, bread rolls, watermelon or other fruits, pie or cake!.
Loaded with calories I know, but what the heck!.!.!.it's cheap and you can always diet the following day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

buy the basics at a bulk store, hot dogs, hamburgers, cheese and buns, chips and cookies, soda and beer!.

then have everyone bring sides! (cole slaw, potato salad, wings, cheese and veggie tray, crackers,)Www@FoodAQ@Com

depending on your budget!.!.!.hot wings/chicken wings are always inexpensive!.!.!.!.chips, 12 pack sodas!.!.!.!.hot dogs, buns, pizza is also a good buy (especially if you're near a Costco--they're $9!.99 for XL!)
