You probably want to look at make-ahead foods!. How about grilling hot dogs and burgers!? You can keep them warm in crockpots set on low for hours!. It's also something easy to grill up more of, if you run out!. Have sliced lettuce, onion, tomato, and condiments!. Maybe a small crockpot of chili for chili-dogs!.

For kids under six you figure one hot dog or burger per kid!. From 7 to 12 you figure two meats per kid!. For teens to adults, I always figure 2!.5 items per person because some will eat more, some less!.

You can buy bulk boxes (5 lbs) pretty cheap at Sam's or another discount store!. I think the 5 lb box of hot dogs (80 count) was $20!. Burgers went for about $30!.

Good sides are chips, salsa, veggie platters with dip, and grapes or melon!. The kids will get enough sugar from the cake & don't need it in their sides or drinks!.

For the bigger kids, get some liter bottles of soda & plastic cups!. Put out a sharpie so they can write their names on their cups!. Offer adults bottled water in a cooler or soda, maybe coffee!. For younger kids, juice boxes are actually much more effective!. They contain the right amount of fluid and are self-contained (meaning less cleanup for you)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Have you ever seen those large foil pans at the store!? They are large enough for a turky!.!.!. Anyhow, you could make some pasta like rigatoni (young children and adults love it) and make two of those sized pans!. Go somewhere like walmart for your ingredients!.!.!.it should be pretty inexpensive!. You can also make finger foods like hotdogs and chicken!. If the punch is a concentrate, you will certainly only need one gallon!. If it is premixed punch you will probably need about 4 or 5 depending if you are having any other beverages!.
You can keep the pans of pasta warming in the oven until its time for the party!. also chips, cookies, cornpuffs, pepperoni/cheese and crackers on platters are nice too!.
