crock pot pulled pork sandwiches(serve them with deli bought cole slaw!)
2 lbs of pork (any kind works, but the leaner the better!. If fatty, cut off all visible fat first!. Pork steaks (minus bone) work great and often are on good sales)
Mix in a bowl:

1 c ketchup
1 c mustard
1/2 - 1 c brown sugar (can add to your taste)
Add mix to pork!. If really thick, add 1/4 c water!.
Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-10 hours!.

When done cooking, use a spoon to spoon out any visible fat that has come off!. Take two forks and shrWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, it is possible!.
Chicken is good because it's fairly low cost, as are pastas and rice!. For beef options, stews and soups are one way to get lower grade cuts to be a little more tender, however for the best flavor, things like oxtails make for excellent stock, however there will be a limited amount of actual meat!. Barley can be a nice change from rice in soups, but it can be hard to find!. Pasta is also good in soups!. For a good "hearty" meal that is low cost, I like chicken and noodles!. Whatever whole chicken is on sale works well (3-5 pounds), some salt, a little pepper, and a couple of bay leaves, boiled at a low boil for roughly 2 hours, with a little bit of chicken base for extra flavor!. You'll want to take the time to really go through and pick bones out, but generally you'll miss at least one (at least I normally do)!. About half an hour before dinner, add frozen or home made egg noodles!. You can use regular pasta, but home made egg noodles tend to be better overall flavor in my opinion, and they're really not too difficult as they're pretty much flour, butter, oil, egg, baking powder and salt!. Unless you "nail it" the first time, to get the thickness and size you want it will probably take a couple times making them before you're 100% satisfied, but overall, I think you'll be happy with it!. Yes, but then it also depends on what your family want to eat and what store is nearby you!.
I would suggest a chicken and rice dinner!.
You can buy chicken (thighs, legs, etc!.), rice, and 1 can of mushroom soup!. Make sure you have milk too (think that's part of the ingredients unless its water)!.
Chicken and rice recipes are online!. Cambell's has a good one!. You can serve greenbeans (from a can) for a side with a fruit as a dessert such as pinnapple (from a can) or applesauce!.
Well, there are many ideas!. If you have a Trader Joes by you, I would suggest getting their Chinese Orange Chicken!. It feeds a lot and less than $5!. Maybe served with mashed potatoes, green beans, a fruit and some cookies!. Well, hope this helps!. There is always the easy soup method too!. Just say winter's aroung the corner and you're making sure you all don't get colds!. LOL!.=>Www@FoodAQ@Com
