Urgent. My mom needs one for our Christmas eve dinner.

Answers:
Mom's Brown Gravy

INGREDIENTS
1 teaspoon yeast extract spread, e.g. Marmite/Vegemite
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups hot water
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup cold water
2 tablespoons cornstarch

DIRECTIONS
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in yeast extract spread, onion powder, and salt until smooth. Gradually whisk in 1 1/2 cups water so no lumps form. Bring to a boil. In a small cup, stir together 1/2 cup cold water and cornstarch. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan, and continue boiling until thickened. Cool slightly before serving.

Take the roast out of the pan,if there is a lot of oil left, spoon some out.Now if your roast was beef, use red wine.if it was white meat, use white wine.Put 1cup of wine into the pan.Now you got the pan on the top of the stove and its on.Mix whats in the pan and let it simmer, now add 2cups of stock or bouillion.chicken stock for white meat and beef for red meat.Mix it and reduce it a bit(by allowing it to boil) Then add a teaspoon of cornflour with 4tablespoon of water to pan, mix, throw in some chopped parsley.

My mom's Gravy:

Chicken Stock, 2 cans
Add little flour to thicken it.
