Think Finger foods!. Keep everything light!. Maybe Croissant sandwiches, fruit salad, or apple/walnut type salad since its fall!. cheese/crackers/meat, veggie tray!. A punch and cupcakes!. You can 24 cupcakes for about 11 bucks!. Pasta Salad!. Or just make a crockpot of chilli and have hot dogs or nachos with all the fixin and let guests have fun piling it on!.

I recently did a pink theme baby shower for my dearest friend!. This was her menu:

- smoked salmon on toast points with sides of capers & minced onions (make your own toast points, puree these ingredients in a food processor to make smoked salmon mousse: 4 ounces smoked salmon; 1 T milk; 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened; 1/2 lemon, juiced; 1/2 t dried dill weed to taste; salt and pepper to taste)!. This really doesn't cost that much for the amount it makes!.

- spiked melon ball salad (make balls out of as many types of melons as you can get fresh; sprinkle with 1 T lemon juice and 2 T flavored alcohol with a dash of red food coloring to make pink and add a few sprigs of mint as a garnish)

- chocolate dipped strawberries, cherries, and dried apricots

- caprese salad (slice tomatoes, mozarella & basil thinly; layer over salad greens and drizzle with balsalmic vinegrette)

- pink heart sandwiches (make a simple egg or chicken salad; cut white bread with heart shape cookie cutter; make sandwiches)!.

hope this helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make finger sandwiches!. Fillings can be as follows

egg salad
tuna salad
ham salad
seafood salad
thinly sliced turkey with cranberry relish

You use good white, whole wheat, pumpernickle and/or rye breads
cut the crusts off and make diamonds or rectangles or use a cookie cutter to make circles!. It is time consuming but the cost of ingredients is lower!. Use the artificial crab for the seafood salad and cut celery very fine and mix with mayo and a little lemon juice and white ground pepper!.

For the turkey spread the bread with butter and on one slice of bread spread mayo, the turkey, a lettuce leaf and then the cranberry relish or jell!.

You can add dill to the tuna and curry to the egg salad to fancy them up a bit!.

Have raw veggies and dip
Make some cocktail meatballs and use the crockpot to keep them warm!. You can make them in a gravy or in a sweeter sauce by using grape jelly!.

Have fresh fruit if you are able apples, oranges, grapes!.
A cheese board will look good as well!. Pick several varities of cheese and cube it!. Place on platter and decorate with grapes!.

You don't need to spend a lot if you can make most of it yourself!. Presentation is the key!. You should use nice platters, servers, and paper doilies for under the food items!. Best wishes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
