I bought cold cut ham yesterday.. will it still be good on Friday? ?!

Question: I bought cold cut ham yesterday!.!. will it still be good on Friday!? !?
I bought cold cut ham yesterday to make sandwiches since we were supposed to have family visiting tomorrow!. But now they changed their plans and will not be visiting until Friday!. Will the ham still be good if I leave it in the fridge (5 days)!? Or should I freeze it!.!. Can you do that with cold cuts!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
If it's pre-packaged it will be fine as long as you don't open the package, If you got it from the deli section, it will still be ok, but won't taste as fresh!. You can freeze it, and thaw it in the refrigerator if you want too, but I wouldn't worry about it, just use it when they come!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd check the expiration date (should be printed on the side), if it's not there, I'd feel a little uneasy!. I think if you serve it, Friday should be the very latest to serve it!. I know this sounds weird but some supermarkets can refund you as long as you bring that ham back right away with a receipt!. Hey, it's a try!. Then you can buy the ham on Thursday and it'll be fresher!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

i be afraid to say,,but ham has salt in it and its like a preserver and is cured,i would think it be ok,,do like the first answer said take it back and then get fresh,,lol!.good luck!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
