I Need Some "Manly" snack suggestions!?!

Question:

I Need Some "Manly" snack suggestions!?

My husband has invited a bunch of friends over to watch the UFC match on Saturday night. I can't very well serve these manly-men cheese and crackers or canapes--any suggestions?

The BIG sandwich is always a big hit- hot wings, baby weiners in BBQ sauce, pizza- anything that stains will usually go over well-

Little smokies in a crockpot with lots of BBQ sauce.

Loosemeat sandwiches, which is ground up hamburger seasoned with salt, pepper, horseradish, mustard, ketchup and some Worcester sauce, serve on buns, put it in a crockpot after cooking and they can make their own, have pickles and mustard and ketchup for them. You can find all kinds of loosemeat or tavern type sandwich's on allrecipes.com

Mix Velveeta with some no-bean chili and serve with nacho chips.

beef jerky. lots of beef jerky.

chips and dip-cheap and easy to prepare!

hot wings and pizza and lots of doritos and beer

Hot-Wings, Pizza, Chex-Mix

Beer helps. chips salsa.maybe a barbque.

beer, chips, pizza, more beer pot of chili, cheese and crackers is fine as long as you have sausage with it & still more beer

I'd say Munchies Brand snacks, they include Doritos, Sun Chips, Cheetos, Pretzels, and it's all delicious! Can't go wrong with little Smokies, or beef jerky (good answers), but also try potato rolls, deli meats, cheese, and fixins for small sandwiches. If they're drinking (for a UFC match, likely they will), that'll help alleviate some of the "drunkeness", and keep them full of tastey treats. Your basic bbq/picnic type foods will do the trick.

Chili. Men love it. Serve it with corn chips and beer. Meat usually works well for guys unless they are vegan, of course.

beef jerky and beer.

My fiance likes Buffalo Wings, Chicken Nuggets (Chic-Fil-A), Chips and Queso/Salsa, Fajitas, and Guacamole. Maybe you could even do some mini-cheeseburgers or a big pot of chili? For other side dishes, you could put out Chex Mix, Doritos, and Mixed Nuts. For desserts, if they're drinking beer, I doubt a lot of sweets will be eaten so maybe you could make some (Human) Puppy Chow and some sort of chocolate cake just in case.

Another REALLY easy sweet recipes is: take a package of Ritz brand crackers, spread creamy peanut butter between two crackers, melt chocolate bark in the microwave, stir well. Dip cracker sandwich in melted chocolate and place on wax paper to cool. My fiance says they taste just like girl scout cookies!

Let me know how it works out! It can be fun to entertain for your hubby and his friends knowing that that if his friends have a good time...your hubby will definitely appreciate it later! :)

Make a bunch of sandwiches, different kinds like ham & cheese, roast beef, chicken salad, etc,, Cut 'em in half and arrange on a platter.
A couple bowls of chips, some salsa and a plate full a pickles-
You're good to go.
Canapes? Don't go there, waste of time.

My husband loves Milanos... that's not really fitting for a casual football party though... so...ohh try getting that party platter at subway..guys are big eaters and they totally see little grinders as a snack. And chips.. and beer of course...

beef jerky chips soda beers
candy subway
i had to host my husbands get together n it all went well

Potato skins with bacon & chedder. Nacho's with the works. Swedish meatballs, chili, tacos.

steak tartar is as manly as it gets
little pieces of toast ,with raw fillet

grind fillet add one raw egg and mix well add capers some salt and lemon juice ,the lemon cooks the meat it looks like raw hamburgewr meat but is delicious serve on little pieces of toast of pumpernikkel bread
put some chillies with it to manify it even more

nachos & dip, spicy chicken wings, sandwiches (nothing like grilled veggies.. lol.. maybe smthng with meat), pizza, bowl of jalapeno peppers .. good luck :D:D

1) Lots of beer, buffalo wings, meatballs, mini tacos/mini hamburgers, pizza, beef and chicken kabobs, salsa and dip.

If you feel like cooking you could do chili and then have toppings on the side--sour cream, cheese, cornbread, fritos(cornchips),
onions, chopped onions, choppped tomatoes

Sausage, cheese and crackers, buy a bunch of deli meat (and kaiser rolls) so they can make sandwiches, chips and dip , you gotta have beer&more beer, cole slaw , don't forget the beer.

Make some chilicheese nachos, and wings are good too. Have plenty of ranch and celery. Take the raw wings and deep fry the with some seasoning on them, not to much. After about 10 to 20 mins depending on how many wings you put in, put them in a bowl with a generous amount of sauce (hot, mild) and toss to coat all. Lastly higher some strippers that will make the party complete. Good luck and Happy New Year! ; |)

Buy two large rolls of italian bread, about 5 pounds of various deli meats and cheese, onions, tomotoe and lettuce. Slice the loaves the long way, put butter on both sides and cheeses on the "top" bread with some seasoning - grill both sides til the bread it hot and the cheese is bubbly... add the sliced meats and veggies to the bottom half, flip the hot cheese bread on top and then slice it in about 1.5 inch pieces the way you would normally slice a loaf of bread. Set it out on a plate with some mayo and mustard. I promise they will eat it and be FULL...

Pizza,hotwings,subway sandwiches,nachoes,salsa and chips,or deviled eggs.....Hope they help.....

The male-type critters in our crowd love it when I make Italian sausage and peppers for football games. Just saute some Italian sausage until well browned and cooked through, then saute sliced bell peppers until soft. Put sausage and peppers in a large casserole, cover with a mild marinara sauce (good for you if you make it home-made, but I usually just use an upscale store brand) and pop in a low temp oven to let the flavors blend.

Serve for sandwiches with crusty sandwich rolls (Italian, sourdough, french rolls, whatever you can find) and some provolone cheese. The guys just love them, and its so quick and easy to make it's almost embarrassing.

smoked sausages (the small bite size ones) in BBQ sauce...guys love these!!
Also layered bean dip is always a MANLY hit!

nachos, meatballs, hot wings are a must!
