Fantasy dinner...what do you choose?!

Question:

Fantasy dinner...what do you choose?

What will you wear, where will the dinner be, who is your guest, what will you eat, drink? You name the mood, the atmosphere, the outcome....
I am wearing an elegant black evening gown. The dinner is in a gothic castle somewhere in the Northern British lsles. My guest is a man I've never met before but have somehow known all along. A storm is crashing around us as we dine on broiled salmon, roasted game hen and grilled asparagus. Dark plummy wine with cherry and tobaco notes. The air is thick with desire and the promise to give in...the rest is kinda corny.

Answers:
I really like your question. Good one.

I think I will be wearing this gorgeous black dress and my guest would be an unknown man who will make a great partner. He must be eloquent, gorgeous and importantly be able to make me smile. We would have a mediteranien meal and concentrate more on the desserts. I suppose the venue should be in Finland or Switzerland. Aboslutely ravishing thought thanks for the great question which has allowed me to dream for a while :)

Actually, that's pretty damn cool. My turn! What a fun question, I needed a pick-me-up :o)

Okay, I'm wearing a frilly peasant blouse and a ruffled skirt. The setting is someplace truly majestic. Maybe Northern Canada or somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. Iceland would be nice. Dinner consists of roasted rack of lamb (I'm having a non-vegan fantasy here), sautéed asparagus, and poached red potatoes. A smoky, full-bodied red wine and warm, chocolate lava cakes for dessert.

My dinner companion, I pick John Goodman. He looks like a man who appreicates a good meal, and I'd like the opportunity to tell him how much I appreciate his performances in The Big Lebowski and Fallen.

Cheers!

The place is Seashore in the Bronx - I know, not the most far off place but when you live in Texas, you miss the places back home! I am in a low cut red evening gown with sliver heels. The dinner is the paella for 2. There is a bottle of Martin Rossi Asti and my guest is my hubby. The fantasy part is of course that we take a limo back to our apartment in Manhattan.

I would change the menu just a bit.
BBQ Shrimp on a squire severed in a orange honey sauce.
A nice roasted beef with Yorkshire pudding with beef gravy.
Glazed baby carrots, Sweet baby potatoes with roasted garlic roasted til a golden brown. A fresh stone bread roll with real butter.
A bottle of deep red blood wine severed in silver gantlets.
Cornish hens roasted with rosemary, and balsamic vinager.Severed with wild mushrooms, and spainish rice.
In the back ground would be apair of harps and harpsachords playing. The room would be lite by candles and a large fire place. Servants would serve the meal and pour the wine.Incents would be burning in the back ground as a couple would dance off to a distance from the diner.
Just a small start to a fanasty

My fantasy dinner...

I am wearing a long, black evening gown with a slit up-to-there. My dinner guest is Gary Sinise, a man whom I both admire and lust for. We are in a lush hotel room in Paris, the Eiffel Tower twinkling outside our window. We start with a glass of kir royale (black currant liquor and champagne) as we wait for room service. The menu consists of French onion soup, escargot, chicken breast on a bed of rice and creme brulee. Chances are we'll have "dessert" first.

I am dining tonight with Eliza Dushku. We are wearing casual clothes because I'm doing the cooking. I start out with my homemade gazpacho and a zesty cucumber/onion salad. We each have beer, something dark and full like St Pauli Girl, or more appropriately Negro Modelo. I then grill 2 thick cut rib eye steaks that have been seasoned with my own rub, and served with baked sweet potatoes wrapped with bacon, corn on the cob, and garlic bread that makes your eyes water before you even bite into it. Another beer for each. We rest for a while watching the surf from the balcony, and looks into my eyes with those amazing brown eyes of hers. We then walk along the beach, not talking much, because there is no need. We get back to the beach house and have strawberry cheese cake and some chocolate velvet coffee. The rest......purely my imagination(then again, so is dining with Eliza Dushku). okay?
