What makes a bday party different from all the others? ?!

Question: What makes a bday party different from all the others!? !?
I was thinking about having a bday party for my 19th and was just thinking what makes pplz want to come to a party and how can u host a party that people will talk about the next days!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Curiosity - That's what makes them WANT to come!. Reputation is
what keeps them coming back!. If you give a good party, the talk
continues for days, weeks, even years! Without "talking it up" - let
people know what your planning!. Once I was making flower arrangements (to float in my pool) in our weekly meeting at work and people got curious!. So I told them what and why I was doing it, and several said, I'd love to go to THAT party! Well, some were invited adn they did come, and they're still talking about it - 4 years later!.

The elements are:
ATMOSPHERE
-Imagine the atmosphere you want to create!. Think of yourself in that place!. Think BIG at first and scale it down to what fits into your home, area or wherever your having your party!. Colors, decor, music, etc to fit
the mood you want!. Like if it's an Italian theme - have Italian music on!.
Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Tony Bennett!. Mexican theme - go with
Mariachi, Mana, etc
DETAILS
-People remember the details!. As small as posting a menu on the buffet table!. Put away knick-knacks, have matching serviceware, have wine at the correct temperatures, be sure to have the correct and enough serving utensils, etc!. Details are important!
FOOD
-Doesn't necessarily have to be fancy or expensive, it can be simple!. The key is for there to be ENOUGH! I know somebody who ran out of
food at a wedding reception! How embarrassing would THAT be!?!?!?
Always better to have more than you need instead of not enough!.
ACTIVITY
-These are great for not only ice breakers, but it let's your guests know
that you thought of them!. I usually have either a door prize drawing,
with the prize appropriate to the theme or occasion, or a raffle drawing
where I pass out tickets to be drawn!.
A small firepit in the evening is good to sit arond as the evening winds
down and your crowd gets smaller!. Have some marshmellows ready
just for fun!. You'd be surprised how many adults still like roasting
marshmellows!. Have a game like Win, Lose or Draw!.!.!. get a few
people to start it off and the crowd usually grows by itself!.

These are not just ideas, these are tried and true by me personally!.
I'm fortunate to be able to say that people come to me and still talk
about parties I've had up to 8 years ago!. But I always keep my guests'
interests and comfort in mind when planning a party!. One more thing -
Hire help if you need it so you can enjoy yourself too!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Parties that people talk about for days afterwards are ones that are orginal, fun and well planned!.

To do this it is always best to find a orginal theme

like Twilight
Ganster
have good food, music and prizes

for something really orginal you might want to try this one all you need to do is have a printer, a good prize for the winning team and someone who can video so that you can watch it unfold later!.

Well, you could have it at those laser fight deals!.At least everybody gets the adrenaline up and get the hostility out shooting someone!. Sneaking up on somebody is fun and getting a hit is big time fun!.
Paint ball party!?
Bowling party!?
1960 rock and roll party and everybody dress in rolled up [two or three big rolls to the knee for the girls] blue jeans and bobby socks and tennis shoes!. There is no dancing like the classic rock and roll music from time life!. Poodle skirts too, but that may be too much!. spaghetti strap scoop neck dresses!. Guys wore tight t shirts!. That was the rebel look then!.
If you live near the beach you could drag out the volley ball net and bring picnic baskets from dusk till !?!?!?!?!? It's cool enough to wear alternative beach clothes!. Pretty gauze dresses look lovely blowing in the wind!. Build a fire, roast weenies and marshmallows, make snores, and play Micheal Martin Murphy songs!. they are Western so would be different!. Romantic slow dancing!. Maybe classics like Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra!. Really different and romantic!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make sure it's age appropriate, don't bore your guests, always invite more people than you want (to allo for the ones who say no), have plenty of food and music going, and try to give out invites in a creative way!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
