Romantic food that comes to mind is a serving of caviar, with lemon flavoured asparagus on the side!. The dessert would be a fragrant truffle made in dark rum sauce, topped off with homemade whipped cream!. My choice of drink would be a nice bottle of french champagne, cold to the taste but bubbly and warm on the way down!. The setting for such a meal would be overlooking a calm clear lake, where the light of the moon would cast a orange smooth reflection over the water!. This makes me hot just thinking about it!. i would say a light main meal like a warm salad with aspects of citrus and cured meats (like prosciutto) tossed with new potatoes and a light dressing!. wine would be a dry white
dessert something rich and heavy with chocolate, or a pastry again rich in flavour!. you can get away with having such a rich dessert because of the light main and still have that feeling of contentment without feeling too guilty!.

You definitely don't want anything that is going to make either of you feel overly full or bloated!. So if you are wanting wine and dessert then I would suggest a light meal!. Go with maybe a broth soup, nice salad with grilled chicken or fish!. Use a white wine (goes with everything) and maybe for dessert something light and fluffy!.!.!.like waldorf salad or heavenly hash!.!.!.both are made with cool whip and really good!. I think rack of lamb, roasted or mashed potatoes to have them lean against on the plate and a rasberry reduction with a little mint sauce just scattered throughout the plate and a vegetable favorite on the side, maybe a salad or some spinach cooked on the side!.
