How about grilled hamburgers, baked beans, and potato salad? Or, you could just have hamburgers and chips. These are things you can fix ahead of time........grill the burgers earlier and keep them in a warmer till shower time! Good luck!

How about:

Baby back ribs
Sauteed Baby carrots
Baby spinach salad

sandwhiches pop or mac and chessewith some salad and ribs or just pizza or have ever body vote on what should they have

baby themed foods are pretty good or finger foods.

I think that 4 p.m. is a little early for a sit down dinner. Just go with finger foods.

Hi.......There r numerous things u can make. It really depends too wether it's a cold buffet or a hot buffet........or a mixture of both! One thing that usually goes over well with the ladies is fancy little sandwich's. Nothing terribly fancy but not too ordinary either. Check with a local baker or grocery store & c if they will make u a loaf or 2 of coloured bread; purple, baby blue, pink, etc. & have them slice it for u. The food colouring will create a nice pastel colour, not a bold colour. This bread was popular for shower's many year's ago but still always goes well. Use ur imagination as far as the fillings go. Simply assemble the sandwich's & then cut the crusts off (this creates a nice clean edge) & cut into 4 little triangles. Or u can have the bread sliced length-wise, u spread a filling (doesn't work well with cold cuts, best if it is something like tuna, egg salad, etc.) on the bread, roll it up length-wise & then slice. That gives u little pinwheel sandwiches. I took enough space to give u one idea on sandwiche's, lol. I can be here all night giving u idea's but I suggest u look online for some idea's. Good luck & have fun!!! ZETA!!!

At my baby shower we had different types of salads and sandwiches. Macaroni salad, Tossed salad, potato salad, Deli sandwiches...they could build their own sandwich. We also had spinach dip, cheese tray and a veggie tray. If that's going to be too light the i suggest chicken wing, swedish meat balls, spaghetti, and a salad. Hope this helps!

Tacos? I think that sloppy joe's are quick and easy.

I am going to give you the menu of what was in my shower:
Quiche Lorraine
Quiche Spinach
Onion Dip
Mini Sandwhiches
Meatballs
An assortment of pastries
Champagne punch
Dinner: it was this chicken and rice dish that we catered.

Deviled eggs
Fruit Tray
Vegetable Tray
Punch
Meatballs(Swedish are good)
Chips
Chicken Bites or Wings

I seen this once and thought it was a great idea!
If you have (or someone you know has) a breadmaker,
make two "White" bread mixes and color the water pink
and blue. Use this bread to make finger sandwiches of
egg salad, tune or even ham and cheese. Serve a cold
potato and/or macaroni salad, and frozen (thawed) cream
puffs from the grocery store.

The sandwiches are enough to provide a little snack but
not too heavy to make guests feel stuffed or uncomfortable.

The bread can be made a day or two early too! Have fun
and congratulations to the Mama!

it depends on the sex of the baby, but you should get a bunch of pink of blue foods, dependsing on the sex. and food coloring, drinks you can make a champagne punch with a flavor of koolaid that is either blue tropical punch or a pink one, strawberry, raspberry or watermelon! good luck and have fun!

You could have some chicken tender/ chicken wing trays made up in the deli at your local grocery or you can do them yourself as I do. Also serve potato salad, macaroni salad and/or macaroni & cheese. Hawaian Kings Bread loaf is great also served with a spinach dip or hot brocoli & cheese dip in it. Another great idea that I have done at several showers is to get a watermelon and cut into a baby bassinett/ stroller shape and then fill with cut out melon balls of the watermelon and also cantaloupe and honeydew melon, grapes and strawberries.
