I just invited a few friends and had fruit and cake. I didn't do any games, the kids aren't old enough to play them.

keep it simple. They have short attention spans and they will not ever remember it later in life. #0 minutes is long enough. 2 simple games. Cake and ice cream and call it a day after present opening. Give each child a party favor so they do not feel left out.

A stripper always livens up a party

a party at chuckie chesse it matters of how munch u what 2 spend

bake a cake and invite grandma and grandpa. The baby is two! Just let him (her) eat the cake the way they want to, that will be entertaining enough.

Do you have horses or a friend around you have horses? Horse rides with your parents are always fun when you are younger......you could put like little "carnival" games together and have little prizes for everyone....you know cause you dont want anyone to miss out and then cry lol but i would think of like a rin toss game and have little goddie bags for everyone...2yrs old is pretty young so you dont want too much to where they understand what's going on....good luck!!! Inexpensive food can be cut sandwiches....fruits ofcourse OOOO i know whats fun.....stringed confettti stuff and ritz crackers with the squeeze cheese...

Since he's a 2 year old, you should probably get Em Pollo Loco to cater the b-day. They have a lot of inexpensive food there. And you should have a picnic or you could have a barbeque and hire a clown.

My Grandson still to this day talks about the SAFARI B/D Party he had when he turned two . Everything was kept simple and quick and all had a good time . They had "ants on a log",,,,,,,,,raisins on peanut butter covered celery sticks , "bugs in the mud".........gummies in chocolate pudding , and a homemade DINOSAUR CAKE , My daughter wrote all thier names on little SAFARI HATS that they got to take home to play with . They played bag toss into a card board made MONKEY w/mouth . And the parents both dressed for the Party and included the family pet snake as in show and tell .Stay simple , stay quick , and STAY FUN . ENJOY IT ALL

I remember going to a Mcdonalds party when I was young..it was so much fun! you get to play in the balls and on the gym thing and then ronald mcdonald comes out to play...and who doesnt like a happy meal? the kids will have a blast and it is pretty cheap.

another thing...2 yr olds don't really even know what a Bday party is. if you really want to save money just have close family over, bake a cake for pictures sake and give the kid a great party when he gets old enough to know what one is.

have a good one...........

Two activity tables or areas, with at least one adult at each, so kids can go between them as they lose interest. Plus a coloring or blocks area nearby for the kids who aren't that into the activities. Good activities:

Make your own trail mix. Have sandwich or snack-sized baggies and bowls of goldfish, raisins, cheerios, dried fruit with small measuring cups. This age is starting to be able to scoop, with assistance, and they'll feel very grown-up to be "cooking." They scoop "one of each!" into the bags, the adult zips it closed, the children shake to mix. Then can wander over to the coloring area to eat it. (Prep your floor.)

Dancing area. I.e. a boombox that's out of reach, a large clear space on the floor. Maybe some plastic maracas.

Bubbles area. With enough bubbles for everyone to try to blow. And an adult to actually blow them.

I would think that an hour should be long enough for the whole thing.

And kids that age really only like inexpensive food. If you do the trail mix and have it at a non-meal-time, that and cake should be enough. Serve juice or milk instead of soda or punch and the other parents will love you more.

GOOD LUCK!

go to a party store and look in the section for the two yr olds or birthday express.com
