She is very active and loves to dance and garden. Any ideas of how I could incorporate memories of her childhood and young adulthood? Maybe a theme having to do with her life?

an anambelance

strippers!!!!

dont scare her too hard!!! she might faint!

Well, I know for all my grandparents' 80th, they really enjoyed it when the party was lighthearted and fun. Make it lots of fun! If she has a good sense of humour, you can have members of the family tell humourous stories about her. But overall, let her know how much you all appreciate her. Good luck!

It's cute that you are planning this, but try not to scare her to death.

You can do something really speacial like a suprise party or you can give her nothing beacause love is all it counts.

I think that it is a mistake to suprise her. My husband's family did that for his mother's 80th birthday and she fainted. The shock could be too much for an elderly person. Just have a regular party and let her invite anyone she wants.

Making love to a twenty years older studs. Look at ANNA NICOLE SMITHS, she bangs before he croak. A hard salami, cucumber, 4foot dildo.

get her an 80 yr old stripper in, and a DJ who has plenty of old records

i would have it at a park with a lake in the background have a nice cookout and have her cake with friends and family there and have flowers sense she likes the garden

where is she from? may be you could bring her sweet memories through ethnic/ local food depending from where she came from?~

get her some oldies soundtrack like Frankiel lymon or elvis

dont mess with the king

I just did one of those! You could gather old pictures and stories from relatives and make a slide show. Also, find things from when she was a little girl...like how much houses were, the price of milk, etc. I also used music from the period either when she was born (which might be difficult) or from the period she was a teenager. You can also get an old photo and blow it up and put it in one of those autograph frames for everyone to sign that attends.

How delightful !!! She must have seen alot and experiences many events in her life that were memorable,sad,happy,sentimenta... and so on. Tell her the family is going to hold a party in her honor. Ask her if she has friends who are still alve to share this memorable day with her. Invite close friends and relatives and throw a big bash for her!! After all, this is the day to show to her how special she is to all!!! Gather all grandchildren and children to sing songs of dedication to grandma.Capture all her old photographs and make it into LCD presentation for guests to watch her past and the present!! In fact, the family can compile some old photos of her and made into postcards to be given away to guests. or made t-shirts of the yonder days to be given to guests. It depend also on the budget for the party--to splurge or not !!!

Get the Mayor of the town where she grew up, to make it her day, with a proclamation on paper. It will be a nice addition to everything else, and make you feel good too.

I have an idea why not try to find out if there are any friends that she has lost contact with and if you can find them in time invite them to the party.
