Having a party, need to order beer.?!

Question:

Having a party, need to order beer.?

I'm having a party for my husband this weekend, and I am getting a keg. I have 30-40 people who will drink (some will probably only have one or two). Should I get 1 keg or 2? Of all the parties I went to in college, I never really paid any attention to how many kegs for how many people.

Answers:
Only get one keg. Once you float it, go to bottles and cans.

If you're only serving beer, then get two. Otherwise, if there's anything else, get only one.

I would just get one and tell people what your getting leaving them the option to bring their own if they want!

First find out how big of drinkers you got. That will help you determine how much beer to get.

Also consider talking to your liquor store they may have an 'untapped' policy or a 'reserve policy'. Which is they will keep one in the cooler for you if you need it...if not you are not out anything. Or they could allow you to return the untapped keg at no charge.

Check with them on their policy...

Will there be other alcoholic drinks? If not, I'd go with 2 to be safe. I hosted a NYE party with that many people once, and after the 2nd keg it was "pass the hat" time for someone to do a beer run.

I think kegs are a great idea. Might as well get two. Maybe one of one type of beer and another of another brand. Get what your husband likes and then something different. Give the people some choice.

Just get one keg and a few cases because you don't want people getting too drunk. Do the old "BYOB" thing on the invite and then supply the deli trays and snacks. Tell your husband I said Happy Birthday! Mine is one the 12th and my man's is on the 9th. Cheers to the Capricorns!

One Keg should be plenty. It will serve one hundred plus beer.
