What is a Venetian Table?!

What is a Venetian Table?

My company is hosting an after dinner cocktail hour with desserts and cordials. Would it be apropriate to call it a "Ventian Table?"
Any other suggestions are appreciated.

I, for one, did not know what a "venetain table" referred to and I don't consider eating out going to McDonald's or Denny's. That's one I hadn't heard of..... A little more research seemed to suggest that folks in the east coast of the US were a little more familiar with the term, but not always.

I would probably would call it what it is "deserts & cordials" unless you know everyone is familiar with the term.....
