Do an assortment of appetizers - that way everyone can find something they like. Pick several from the following and mix & match to suit the guest.......Try items such as mini egg rolls, meatballs, wings, bacon wrapped scallops, deli tray w/ meats & cheeses served with an assortment of mini coctail breads, cheese platters, fruit platters, veggie trays, mini quiches, cold boiled shrimp, etc....

A retirement party?
Lot's of soft, mashed and blendered foods.
Depends.

Chicken Parmesean/ or Meatballs
Sausage and Pepper Medley or Roast Pork
Baked Ziti or Stuffed Shells
Green Beans or Mixed Vegetables
Roasted Red Skinned Potatoes
Salad
Dinner Rolls
Fruit platter and or Veggie Tray

Hot wings and French Fries and other food that you like, and for cold food, potato salad, and maybe cold pasta, and for desert ice cream mix with warm brownies. that would be a good party.
