If you go to http://www!.kungfupanda!.com/ and go to the Activities section, They have 3D characters you can make out of paper, coloring pages, Chinese takeout boxes, tanagram games and lots of other stuff!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Create the enchanted Jade Palace or the beautiful Valley of Peace using plants, rich colored fabric, movie or travel posters and origami paper cranes and Chinese paper lanterns!. Drape the fabric over existing furniture, hang the cranes and lanterns (lantern instructions below) from the ceiling and place posters on the wall!. The Kung Fu Panda Movie has some wonderful print and fold activities and coloring sheets, that will help you fashion a fancy party table!.

Create a centerpiece using a large paper Chinese food container to hold a weighted balloon bouquet!. Lay strips of red and gold streamers down the center of the table!. Then place your centerpiece in the middle!.
Lastly, scatter un-wrapped fortune cookies, or small paper cranes
around the table for added flare!.

Use the Internet to find and print guest names in Chinese!.
Then glue them onto pieces of construction paper (about 3x5)!.
Or use the animals from the movie!. Every character has their own fighting style; monkey, mantis, tiger etc!.!.!.
Make two holes in the card with a hole punch and attach a length of yarn to create a necklace and place it around the guests neck as they arrive!.

You’ll need several different colors of 8!.5” x 11” paper, glue, scissors and markers or theme-related stickers!.
To Make:
Invite your guests to decorate one side of a sheet of construction paper!. When finished, fold each sheet in half lengthwise!. Cut 3-inch slits into the fold, parallel to the short edges!. Start about an inch from one edge and continue making slits along the length of the paper, leaving 1/2 inch between each slit!.

You could make a panda cake, since a panda's head is roundish it shouldn't be too hard!. You could do two cup cakes for the ears and then just use black, white and red frosting for the face!. See if there are any stores that have chinese new year decorations, or if you can just find some paper lanterns somewhere (a home decorating store, or Target)!. Use solid colored streamers in bright colors like red, green, blue and yellow!. You could buy chopsticks for everyone (not that expensive) and have everyone attempt to eat the cake with them before giving up and using a fork!. :-) Since in the movie his dad runs a noodle shop, maybe instead of pizza, which is common at a lot of kids parties, you could have lo mein!. You can also make those tasty little steamed buns that the panda fights his instructor over! I think if you use bright streamers and balloons (maybe put a kung fu panda sticker on a few blown up balloons), the plates and cups you already have will go a long way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ask your son's friends to draw kung fu panda on pictures, and print off pictures from the internet!. The party doesn't have to be completely kung fu panda, it could also be to do with animals in films i!.e madagascar, lion king etc!.

I hope this helped!

You should find out if what he really wants it to be about the movie or just karate!. My 8 year old brother loves karate like borderline obsessive and it all started when he saw the movie!. So maybe make your decorations karate based!. You could always just put up posters of Jack BlackWww@FoodAQ@Com

Find stuff to match the color scheme and maybe find decoration that match the animal characters!. If worse comes to worse just go crazy with those party streamers!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
