There are a few things you need to consider:
Location (will there be enough space, enough chairs, etc)

Food - finger food is usually best for parties - sandwiches, nibbles, etc!. For Xmas have a seasonal twist, turkey sandwiches, mince pies and the like!. also if there are going to be kids there then think about kiddie-friendly stuff as well!. And do dessert! Chocolate yule log is good!.

Entertainment - Music!? Party games!? Consider the ages of the people attending and have something for everyone!. It's always good to have background music of some kind - those xmas compilation albums are great!.

Drinks - I always do a huge bowl of punch for my parties!. You can have a non-alcoholic punch if you prefer!. Mulled wine always goes down well too!. Get everyone to bring a bottle of whatever they fancy - cuts down on the cost and everyone is happy!.

Accessories - Crackers are a must, also party poppers, xmas decorations, if you are having a buffet then I would highly recommend using paper plates and plastic cutlery and glasses, it makes clearing up so much easier!.

Arrange the date ASAP and let people know well in advance as party season gets booked up pretty fast!.

Hope this helps! If you're not from the UK you might not have crackers, mince pies, party poppers and yule logs but I'm sure you have something equally fab!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You should make sure you have finger foods sitting out maybe gingerbread cookies or some wine!. Make sure you have a nice Christmas Dinner!. Everyone should play secret santa and exchange gifts! At the party you should play charades and have Christmas karaoke to make the night fun and enjoyable instead of awkward moments of people sitting around staring at each other aimlessly trying to strike up a conversation!. Hope this helps:)Www@FoodAQ@Com
