How can I keep pizzas warm for 30 minutes after they are delivered?
I need to have pizzas arrive at 6:00, but they won't be eaten till 6:30. How should I keep them warm, without having to microwave or re-heat them?
Answers:
Set your oven to preheat about 10 minutes before your pizza arrives. Turn it off when the pizza gets there and put it in the warm oven. The amount of heat (200 degrees-ish) should be plenty to keep your food from getting cold. :)
stick them in the oven on a low to warm temp. keep them covered though or else they will dry out.
keep one on top of the other and maybe a light blanket to cover them...
you put it in the freezer
Heat your oven. Make sure it's very low. Then keep the pizzas in the box and they should be fine. Don't forget they are in the oven. lol
Sit them in the oven
ask the pizza boy to stay back for next 30 minutes i.e. till 06:30
I don't blame you for not wanting to microwave them because the crust gets rock hard. However, you can preheat your oven to 350 so the oven is nice and hot then turn off your oven. Set the pizzas into it and they will keep hot for quite a while. I hope that I have been some help to you.
Put your oven on low and throw them in there. Make sure they are covered and don't leave in there more than an hour.
if your leaving them in the box make sure you turn the oven off saw it happened where the boxes caught on fire happened in a school cafeteria teacher wasnt to bright set off smoke detectors hello fire department
Why dont you just have the pizza delivered at 630?
have the oven preheated to about 200* with a hot bowl of water to keep the pizza from drying out..... of course make sure the bowl is oven proof
put them in a heated oven or just have them delivered by 6:30
You can't unless you have one of those insulated bags they use when they deliver them.
Set your oven to the lowest temperature available -- it should be somewhere between 100° and 200° -- and keep the pizzas in there until they are ready to be served. You can put them on cookie sheets, on tin foil, or directly on the oven racks. Just be sure to take them out of the boxes first. LOL.
Keep them in the boxes, and put them in a cooler/ice chest whatever you choose to call it. They will stay perfectly warm. Who knew that it would keep things hot as well as cold?? lol
It really does work though!
Straight into a warm oven with them (about 200 degrees F).
Call 25 minutes later so they are delivered at 625pm
There are two ways, one is to rap them with foil like 3 times and keep them on the oven so air is not flowing. Second is to turn the oven to the lowest temperature and just live them there, they will not get bad at all. But if you have more than 2 then the second advise won't work.
Use the first one.
oven or microwave
