What are some favors that we could give out at a 007 themed party?!

Question:

What are some favors that we could give out at a 007 themed party?

Its tradition at our school for the Junior class to put on the prom for the Senior class. Since they're the class of 2007, we thought of the idea of a 007/James Bond theme for prom. What are some unique ideas of things that we could give as favors?

toy gold fingers

a shoe that turns into a boomerang, or martini glasses.

- bikini-clad "Bond Girls"
- Aston Martins
- bottles of Bollinger

James Bond; guns, booze, fast cars and hot chicks - perfect for a school-related event

"martini" gel candles!

Martini Glasses (With no alcohol of coarse) With the Class information printed on it "Class of 007" or "Shaken not Stired" etc

Plastic martini glasses with candy inside.
Remember shaken not stirred!

Or see if you can buy in bulk 007 movies to hand out!

Try to print out a life size full body photo of James Bond and turn it into a stand up! So people can pose for pics!

little plastic guns painted gold.....find some of the 2007 glasses they had in New York on New Year's Eve...have some James Bond music playing. maybe make an entrance like the movie...a backdrop that has the inside of a gun barrell and you enter through it....maybe even buy a card board standup of one of the Bond men and charge people $1 to take their picture next to it. maybe find all of the bond men and have a contest to see which one is more popular by who gets the most money for pictures. check ebay for old bond movie posters and put them up.

maybe do a red carpet...or a casino theme since many of the movies and books depicted bond playing roulette, etc. you could have a casino night..

have lots of fun. i know girls dress pretty risque....but you could have a costume contest to come as your favorite bond character....guys in suits to be like Bond and the girls to dress as various Bond-girls....as long as it wasn't too slutty.

Since it's a school, toy guns are probably out, unless you did cheap, easy-to-recognize squirt guns. You can pretty much expect that your $300 dress and $80 hairdo will get wet, though.

I'd see if you can't find something that looks like the hi-tech gizmos that Bond always has. Have the planning committee members each rent a different Bond movie and make a list of the different gadgets you see. Then check the links below to see what jumps out at you - maybe you can modify some of them to make them seem more spy-like.

Little gold fingers, itty-bitty charm guns, barrettas. Aston-Martin models.

These are pretty cool...lighted martini glasses, flashing balloons, glow sticks...

Bonds movies always surround some kind of loot and luxury...what about pretend money, gold coins, jewelry, dice, and/or luxury hot wheel cars. If nothing else it would be cute to play with right?

If you can find a small nice looking model of a gun that's a ligther (a novelty gun lighter)... it would be cool... very nice.

Also, you can tie a small piece of paper with a ribbon on the ligther gun, and write on it school/class... and a quote from the movie that matches, any quote that's suitable, meaningful and you like...

Just be sure you are not sending out the wrong message by distributing a lighter.

Examples of Quotes:

You'll have everything you desire.
Yes, Everything or nothing.

"Just take me for a ride"

Minature 007 car, or bow ties for the gents and a red rose for the ladies.+gold sugar almonds.(goldfinger)LINDSAY

Martini (or another drink glass that isn't so obviously for alcohol) filled with chocolate poker chips or chocolate gold coins are simple favors that will probably work well with a highschool class's budget, depending on how big the class is.

You can order in bulk martini glasses, etched with the date and event, "Class of '007" instead of just "Class of '07". Fill them with something, if you like (maybe a mix of dice, poker chips and mints or something would be cute).

I would steer clear of any gun related favors, and as much as some of the guys might like to take home a Bond girl, that's neither logical nor legal. :-)

So, yeah, we've taken out the violence and promiscuity, so all you have left is the classic shaken, not stirred, alcohol, which is still somewhat inappropriate, but it beats a gun or a hooker.

Realistic looking toy guns that are just water pistols. You could get nice keychains that have the Astin Martin logo and then just put any old key on them. You could make cookie fingers and wrap them in gold foil. Nice looking dark sun glasses. CDs with all of the top James Bond movie theme songs burned on them. Teeny tiny disposable cameras. (They have new digital, one-time use cameras like this that are very small, and they lool like spy cameras.)

Cheap theatrical prop fedoras (hats) and thin black ties.

Reasonably priced posters of Bond shots/scenes.

Ray-Ban sunglasses
