Need help for a Valentines dinner?!

Question:

Need help for a Valentines dinner?

What would be a good dinner for a man? I have a salad for a starter dish, and strawberry cheese cake for dessert. So what would be a main dish to go with it, something a man woiuld like, And what wine is fruity. We have been getting wines, and had no luck with it.

Answers:
I agree that steak is a good idea. However, salads are actually served before the dessert course. If he is your boyfriend, maybe try an oyster (a supposed aphrodisiac) or soup starter, then steak main course, salad and then dessert.

I also recommend going to a good source for the oysters and steak. Whole Foods is a good choice if you have one around you.

Good luck!

Most men like a nice flame broiled steak that is juicy and tasty. I think that steaks upscale any meal and makes a plain meal more fancy and delicate. A way to a mans heart is thru his stomach so if u cook anything he probably will adore you!! Instead of wine try champagne (I hear it is a lovely romantic drink). If u don't prefer alcohol try sparkling (which always hits the spot!!)

Most of the above menu suggestions are good. If he isn't into red meats, you can make a romantic Italian type dinner with a lasagna and cheesey garlic bread. If wine is a tough one and you prefer sweet, try a Lambrusco. It's red, sweet and bubbly. Don't forget the candles! P.S. I would go medium on portions so you aren't too full to 'fool around' later!

make roasted chicken and some veggies and potatoes

Fruity wines:

Pinot Gris (w) (Pinot Grigio is the same thing!)
Pinot Blanc (w)
Reisling (w)
cheap Shiraz (r)
Chianti (r)

Feeling adventurous? Try a French wine!
George DeBoeuff's Beaujolais (Super fruity red wine best served chilled and young! Plus, it's cheap!)

Don't forget about seafood dishes i.e fish, shrimp, lobster, etc...

i think italian meals are romantic. a nice pasta dish would do nicely

I hate wine unless it is sweet, so I would suggest Riesling. They also have a Riesling dessert wine called Golden Harvest or something like that.

I think this would be a nice choice, especially bc of the color:
Orange-Cranberry Chicken

Plus I think the citrus in it would compliment the cheesecake.

Meat, meat and more meat. Have a meat sampler with sausage and grilled beef and maybe some pork roast. Sear the pork roast then bake it with white wine. Loaded baked potatoes are a favorite too. If he likes seafood, then substitute one of the meats for king crab legs. A nice fruity wine, try Berengers white Zinfandel. Have fun.
