Party ideas for after baptismal gathering?!

Question:

Party ideas for after baptismal gathering?

need some ideas for a gathering of about 15 adults following my adult step-daughters baptismal ( better late then never ) snacks, beverages was thinking of some finger foods orsome Hors dourves

Answers:
I'm in favor of simple, make-ahead dishes for entertaining so you can enjoy the party.

Unlike above suggestion, I prefer sweet and sour meatballs -- the gravy on canned soup sauces always tastes like canned soup.

Same idea - crockpot & frozen meatballs -- but for sauce use (you will laugh, but I've had hard core gourmets go nuts for this): Equal parts red currant jelly and Heinz Chili Sauce (next to the seafood sauce in the market), juice of one lemon, and that's it. Let heat so the flavors blend for at least an hour on high, turn to low, serve.

If this will be in the morning, brunch time, try mini-quiches. Even men eat these no matter what they say.

OH..I have a REALLY simple meat balls recipe...but you'll need a crock pot.

-Two small bags of fully cooked frozen meatballs (original...not italian style)
- One 16 oz tub of sour cream
- Two regular sized cans of cream of chicken

Literally throw it all in a crock pot and stir occasionally. If you want it to be easier to stir, cook the meatballs half way in an oven first, then pop them in the crock pot w/ the soup and sour cream. You'll be shocked at how easy and GOOD this recipe is.

my baby's not here yet, but these always go over well with no leftovers at any parties I have.
works for 'formal' at a church hall or laid back at home

meatballs (with thick hoagie buns)
turkey sloppy joes
pasta salad
regular salad
cut up fruit platter
the giant box of chicken from walmart (lol)
pierogies
halushkie
cake or cupcakes

we did brunch. I made a florentine ring, mini bagels with lox and cream cheeses, chicken salad, tuna salad, Orzo Pasta Salad w/ mustard vinagrette, yogurt parfaits.

Good Luck

after i had my first daughter bapitized i cooked a meatloaf and glazed it and made a package gracvy on the side and had mashed potatoes and steamed carrots with melted butter and boiled mashed turnip with a bit of butter and brown sugar and had a cake with a cross on it.and had deviled eggs before hand i also reccomend you get a ham any kind because ham is very easy but in the end it looks the best like .if you get taupie ham you can poke some cloves in it and some cherrys and pinapples or if you get a whole shoulder picnic ham you can glaze it which is not hard at all . in the end it is very tasty and left overs if any make a great supper for the family or sandwiches ect.
