How would you set up a chocolate buffet?!

Question:

How would you set up a chocolate buffet?

I am hostessing a jewelry show for my friends and want to be the ultimate hostess! I have planned a dessert & chocolate buffet for the afternoon and I wonder what your ideas are on how to set up the dessert bar?

Answers:
ok.. the decorations shld be simple & modern.. pick a color & have the tablecloth & napkins of the same color.. u can serve ur desserts on mirrors or clear glass boards (u can put the mirrors on different levels by putting upside down ice buckets or glasses under them)

for the desserts.. here r some ideas: a chocolate cake (cut into small pieces), chocolate fondue (with an assortment of fresh fruits, pretzels & marshmallows), an assortment of chocolates (fancy ones), chocolate mousse (in shot glasses), mini chocolate tarts...

First and foremost, a Chocolate fountain, fruits and finger cookies for dipping, assorted chocolates will be second to the fountain which you can rent from an events rental store for minimun cost. If you look up chocolate fountains on the net they tell you what you need also in the way of how much chocolate you need for the almount of guests you'll be having, good luck have fun

Go to an expensive store and buy different kinds of cakes, pies, fudge, drinks, fondue, and other tasty items and just place them on a chocolate covered table cloth and invite them in. Also get the game Chocolate Monopoly and play it with them! Give out chocolate prizes, or chocolate related items like a hershey kiss charm, or something similar. Can I come too?

I would purchase a chocolate fountain, skewers and fruit (strawberries, pinapples). I would also have an assortment of other chocolate desserts available (cake, cheesecake). A suggestions would be to use a white table cloth (white plastic will work fine) and set the items up on a table with the chocolate fountain being at the center.

I concur with the chocolate fountain with cookie, fruit or pretzel dippers, it's a must.

Other desserts for a buffet:

brownies cut into small bite sized pieces
small cookies
Amaretto balls
mini cannolis
fudge
chocolate covered pretzels
cream cheese mints

Amaretto balls
2 c Pecans, chopped finely
2 c Confectioner's sugar, sifted
2 c Chocolate wafer crumbs
2/3 c Amaretto
Pecans, additional

Process pecans and wafers separately; combine in food
processor with sugar. SLOWLY pour in liqueur until
mixture forms a ball. You might not need the whole
amount, depending on the humidity level. (If mixture
gets too wet, put it in the refrigerator -- uncovered
-- overnight to dry out some.)

Shape into small balls; roll in additional finely
chopped pecans. Store in tightly sealed container.
