Sweet 16 Birthday Party Ideas?
I am having a party for my 16th birthday but I cannot decide what to do. I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I want it to be fun, cool, and a party that me nor my guests will forget. I will be inviting both girls and guys, so I need something that everyone will enjoy. Thank you for all of your answers and ideas!

I just turned 16 and i didn't have a party. It costs too much money. Take a weekend road trip with a few girlfriends. It's fun!

This site pretty much offers themes and really good and cheap party favors. My family and I did this for my 16th B-Day and we just had fun planning it along with my friends that came, too.

Do it yourself parties, and themed parties are definitely the way to go. Even for a 16 yr old gathering, if you're enthusiastic about it - anything can go!
My suggestion? Make a non-alcoholi mixed drinks station (for recipes go online) with fun fixings like ice cubes that are made of juice with fruit in the centre, or different kinds of frozen fruits. Mix that together with a murder mystery. There are some great teen-oriented murder mysteries and if you talk it up - everyone gets really into it. It gives strangers an excuse to chat it up, lets everyone dress up a bit (depending on the theme), and is lots of fun with the right people. As for food, think about making it a pot luck and asking poeple to bring particular foods. For party favours - think about burning a CD of your own favourite songs for everyone - that way it's personal and also entertainming!
Trying to keep a ton of people entertained is hard. I suggest you take two of your bestest friends out for the whole day. Let the sleep over the night be4 and wake up early (if ur celebrating it on the weekend) go to the mall, an interesting museum, take pictures together, go to the fanciest resturaunt possible and see a movie until u spent the whole day 2gether.
