I would go with what your husband and you like!. Forget about what the tradition picnics are or what everyone else does!

If he enjoys sandwiches with different types of cold cuts, do that! If he likes meatball wedges, do that! You can make different sandwiches on the long rolls, like wedges or go to the deli and have them made and bring them, then bring some chips and things that he likes, along with some drinks!. That's what's going to mean something to him!. If you bring things he doesn't like, he's not going to want to eat the food and he's going to wonder who you did it for, you or him!. If you bring food that BOTH of you enjoy, then he knows you did it for YOU AND HIM!

Bring food that YOU like AND that he likes! I know it's your Anniversary, but that's what makes it special, that you're going out of your way to bring what HE likes and enjoys and that you're paying attention to his likes and dislikes!. Like you said, if you brought the olives and cheeses, he wouldn't like it and wouldn't have fun, but think of the fun you WILL have if you bring what you both like and enjoy!

You can also bring drinks you like and bring some nice goblets to drink them in, I'm sure after all you've done to bring what he likes, he WILL drink out of them, and bring along a CD player with some songs that we're played at your wedding, or just music you both like and maybe even a frisbee to throw around!.

You can also bring some potato salads and macorini salad if he likes that, you can make chili and keep it in a keep hot container if he likes that!. Think of the foods that he likes and will eat and go with that!. If that's heroes that are hot like meatballs or chicken, etc, go with it, if it's cold sandwiches, go with it, if there's buffalo wings, bring them too!

Then for dessert, you can bring the top of your wedding cake if you saved it, or whatever your's and his favorite dessert is, you can bake something that you know he likes AND you like, or you can buy something!. You can make cupcakes, you can make cookies or brownies, etc!. Keep it simple and casual since he likes the junk food!

I hope some of these ideas help and that you and your husband have a VERY Happy Anniversary!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I believe he will really appreciate all the thought you put into the picnic so relax and do a little of both traditional and junk-food !. Try the fondue style cubed cheeses with toothpicks and crackers with a dip he likes!. make little sandwiches!. One slice of bread whole wheat and one white cut into four square bite sized that creates a catered look!. Ham and cheese or peanutbutter and jelly!. Tostitos chips on a plate with dip and olives cheese what he likes and seran wrap it good to avoid spillage!. Lemonade or Zinfandel wine dont forget a the cork opener!. hope this helpedWww@FoodAQ@Com
