Cuban themed party for 25 people, Any ideas?
I am thinking mojo chicken, black beans & rice & sangria. Salsa & chips, cheese quesadillas for aps.
Is this too ambitious for a 1st time party thrower for 25-30 people?
Anyone have any ideas, tips for entertaining for a large crowd?

Don't forget the Mojitos to drink you can make the mix a head of time and pour as you see fit. YUM! If this is your first party set up a buffet as this will be easier. Prep your black beans and rice a day or 2 in advance. If you are making your own salsa you can prep with the beans etc. I always set up my house the night before the party that way the next day all I have to worry about is the final touches on the food. Anything you can make ahead is good that way all you have to worry about is heating things up.
music, liquor and plenty of it.people usually entertain themselves.

try adding some grilled vegetables to the mix.

Your party sounds GREAT! Maybe just add some Cuban music. Don't forget a Rumba. Twenty-five to thirty people is quite do-able. I've hosted many parties in my home for at least that number and catered it myself. Wish I was going, sounds like a blast.
