Good ideas for a 13 year old birthday party?!

Question:

Good ideas for a 13 year old birthday party?

We have a bounce house rented, a silly string fight planned, pinata, pizza, etc. It's a six hour party. I need LOTS of ideas! Help please! ASAP. =] THX.

It sounds great!!!!! But another thing to keep you entertained is to buy TONS of Coke and Mentos and go nuts. Just be sure to do it away from the house though.....

If the party goes into the night hours, buy some mints (Lifesavers work best, in my opinion) and get in a circle, go into a really dark area, and chew up the mints. They create sparks in the air!!!! It's so cool! You may want to try it out first, before the party, though. Sometimes it doesn't work, right, so look it up and try to perfect it.

Have music, of course. Also, you could have a water ballon toss. Or, better yet, an egg toss!

Have fun!

sounds like enough

I would have thought bowling, pizza, music the kids like, invite some boys AND girls.

Some kinda game that will help them interact in some limited way.

Then stay out of their way.

Maybe thats for 16 year olds, I don't really know what its like to have kids. :(

STRIPPERSSSSSSS!

rollerskating? scavenger hunt?

well i dono but i would take my kid if its a boy to like a gocart place and entertaine then there for a little bit then come back for cake or ice-cream or both!

hope that helped

a DJ would be great for a pre-teen. I also have rented a cotton candy machine which was a big hit...make sure this is outside because sugar will get everywhere. You did not say m/f...but if a dj is not the thing you want...have your child make a list of his/her best songs..burn it to a cd and this could play at the party and a great party favor to take home. Hope this gives you some added thoughts. Have Fun

When my goddaughter turned 13, we had an open ice cream sundae bar, with a couple ice cream flavors and tons of toppings. The kids had a great time making their own creations, plus it killed alot of time! Also, some silly games are always fun, such as Sticky Tag, where one person is it and when that person tags someone, they're stuck together and have to tag the next person together, who is then stuck to the other two....in large groups, it's pretty funny. Wish you luck!

- rent a karaoke machine and have a contest

- you could order temporary tattoos from Oriental Trading Co, I think they might even customize them (maybe with the birthday boy/girl's name?)

- line dancing or if you have an Xbox/Playstation you could rent or buy the Dance Dance Revolution game (girls love this)

- you could have a fire pit going for smores

- tie dye shirts

- for girls you could have a manicure station (as fancy or low-key as you'd like to make it)

Depending on which season the party is held in, you could have the kids carve things, like if its in summer or spring you could buy fruit like pineapples or something and have tham try to do fruit carvings. If it's autunm, pumkin carving, and if it's winter, plan a snowball fight, or if you don't have snow in your area you could just carve fruit. It doesn't matter what season it is, really, it's a party!

You could also have the kids watch a movie.

Or if you want something more interactive you could have a karoke machine, or a dance off (I know some of these sound crazy but they may like it). And don't plan out the party minute for minute; if the kids really like an activity, it may last over an hour. So let them have their fun.
Hope all goes well.

And in the immortal words of someone whom I don't know the name of,
LET THEM EAT CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well instead of baby stuff go SHOPPING! with a BIG budget
