Christmas get together menu?!
My moms side of the family gets together every year to exchange gifts and spend time with each other!. Most other holidays everyone just brings casseroles or another covered dish!. since its Christmas we are looking to change things up a little this year!. any suggestions of an easy menu!? Maybe some casseroles and such with other additions to change things up!? Any help would be greatly appreciated!Www@FoodAQ@Com

My neighbors family used to get together at grandmas and the men fried ham slices & grandma made mashed potatoes & gravy and the kids brought the sides!. They got together Christmas Eve for gift exchange!. My family got together before Christmas usually the weekend before because of work schedules & weather so we picked up a bucket of chicken, jo jos, cole slaw!. Then we had cookies and sweets my mom mostly made!. Sometimes we just had make your own sandwiches-ham & cheeses, cole slaw, macaroni salad, potato salad, baked beans, black olives and pickles!. Sometimes pasta, chips and dips too!. Something easy and not much work than a big dinner!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
This is a great one for kids but kids at heart love it too!.
Tater Tot Casserole:
Brown ground beef and cook tater tots as usual!. Add them to a casserole dish and mix with cream of mushroom soup (usually 2-3 cans) and cover with cheese!. Bake at 400 degrees for about45-55 mins!.
also Crab Stuffed Mushrooms:
can of crab
chunks of focaccia bread
heavy cream
green onion
grated gruyere cheese
1 egg
mix together and top mushrooms and bake!. very easy!

Since we've just had turkey for our Thanksgiving dinner and the majority in our family like lamb we generally have lamb as our main meat course for Christmas dinner!. We enjoy our Creme de Menthe Leg of Lamb!. We also enjoy an Apricot and Bourbon Pork Tenderloin!. We always cook a glazed ham for those who don't care for the lamb or the pork tenderloin!.
What about those special Christmas cookies & desserts!? We've got plenty of them too including a fabulous Red Velvet Cake Recipe!.

We always have a big Christmas Eve dinner at my aunt's house!. Then on Christmas day, we have a big brunch and go out for dinner (usually Chinese)!. It's nice because by the time Christmas evening comes around, we are all done with cooking and cleaning!. After the breakfast dishes are done, we can just relax for the rest of the day!.

3 green apples
3 red apples
container cool whip!.
Cut snickers bars into small bite size pieces!. Do the same with the apples!. Mix all together in large bowl with cool whip!. Very yummy
