chopped vegetables (called crudités) served with dip, ( abit more elegant would be green aspargus with foaming hollondaise) or the good old-fashionend grapes with a bit of cheese on a stick!.!. or pineapple with prawn!.
Don't serve too much!.!. the idea is to invoke appetite!.!. just to tickle your taste-buds a bit!.!.and to get people out of the way and sitting down!. Generally avoid too much protein!.!. it makes people feel full!.!.same for fat!.!.so go for carbs like fruits and vegetables!.!.

for me personally !.!.always something with apple!.!. if I eat an apple I am getting hungry!.!. so maybe apple with a crumb of stilton on a cocktailstick!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Something FUN! To set the already jolly mood, you know!? Like finger salmon delicacies (thin, finger size bites of bread or toast with creamed garlic butter and tiny pieces of salmon on them) or cheese spread in the form of snowmans, or lil Santas (with tomatoes hats and black pepper eyes), or a cheese igloo (lil cubes of all sort of cheese build as an igloo - round, with an entrance) and you can make lil penguins from olives too! Or a sleight filled with goodies, made from a cantaloupe, filled with cherry tomatoes, cheese cubes, olives and bites of ham or fish!.!.!.OMG, stop me, this is endless, let your imagination SNOW! :D Or go here

I'm using little squares of filo pastry,brushed with melted butter!. I'm filling them with brie and cranberry and making them into little pouches and quickly flash frying!.
