Well you need to leave your family at home for this! Windsor Canada is across the river from Detroit. 19 is the legal drinking age and the whole city is a party every night. I used to go for all my birthday's until I was about 25.
How low or high key do you want to go here? What's fun for the b-day person?
By the time I was 19, I'd do really low key stuff with my family. A home-made cake and family at my grandparents place was always a good way to relax. I enjoy the company of my family. We'd have pizza and snacks and make it like a sports game night. Good times.
Hire a Dj or have a family memeber play the cd's all night. kids this age just like hanging out with their peers. Make sure you have plenty of food.
