How much are catering hallls?? sweet sixteen realted?
i want to throw my best friend a surprise sweet sixteen bash w/her mom about fifty people. budget $6000 w/catering hall

Do a search under (name of your city) Parks and Recreation, then look under something like "Facilities" or "Facilities Rental". Depending on where you live, prices will vary. Here in the Denver Metro area I can easily get a hall for ten hours for around $2,000.00 that holds 300 people or more.
Ask yourself these questions: How long do you need the hall? Be sure to factor in set up and clean up time. You may also need to pay a fee for tables and chairs.
Other places to check; your local VFW, Masonic Temples, churches. Don't rule out local hotels! Many of these larger hotels will rent you a banquet/meeting room for a discount if you allow the hotel to cater the event.
With that type of budget, you should be able to put on quite a party! Good luck!

We rented one of those for our wedding. It was about $2000 for the facility but it included everything but food and decorations. It all depends on what is in your local area. I would start calling around locally. Sometimes if your family members belong to a club like the lions club or the elks lodge, you can get their hall for cheap or free.
