Do Lobsters have a great time at Lobster Fest?
Always wonder just how hot the Lobsters like thier very own version of the Hot Tub.

I think that's how they lure them there!
I don't think it is as good for them as it is for us lobster eaters
but I do like to think that it is just there last party in the hot tub

Well that is a great question, the common theory is that lobsters at a lobster fest tend to be a little nervous.( as you can imagine). Trying to calm them down can be a little tricky, and it takes quit a bit of ingenuity.
I have seen several attempts made, some that work and some that don't. Of the ones that don't, are saying things like "NO the water is not hot" (the steam is a dead give away! And "Look, everyone else is doing it! you want to be called chicken" (everyone knows that lobsters hate to be called chicken)
Of the things that do tend to calm them down and letting them know they are going to have a good time are, "Watch I will get in first" (this shows them there is nothing to be afraid of) And of course getting them drunk first is a big help.
So in closing it depends on how it is approached whether they have a good time or not.

Of course they do. It is the lobster's nature to be eaten and enjoyed. In fact, I witnessed the lobster's enjoyment last Friday - while I enjoyed my own little "halibut fest."

Not when I cook them. Ussually I just slooowly dip them in the boiling water claws first. Hold them there for a few seconds, ussually they pee. Then I turn them around and dip about half of their tail in. Then I put them in the sink and run cool water over them. Just when they think they are safe, in the pot they go. Such a kick!!LOL

I like my hot tub done a special way.
Add some spices and heat up the tub,
For me and my friends who meet at the club.
Rubber band our claws and watch us float,
As we watch you above us laugh and gloat.
Mmmmmmmm love that water that turns us bright red,
Unfortunately it means we also are dead.
But we know we will soon be dipped in golden butter,
And that makes my little heart pitty pat flutter.

Deep in your inners which are kind of remote.
