Take them bowling, or rent some movies that they can watch at your house.

Go-Karting, its really fun! Even though im a girl, i went go karting (i had some guy friends) and it was fun. Im sure he'll enjoy it, just make sure its not some small indoor figure 8, make it a big party.

Teenage Party Planning Tips
The secret to hosting a successful teen birthday party is to remember that 'teens just want to have fun'. With that in mind, the four most important things to remember for a successful teenage party is:

Incorporate a theme
Have plenty of food - A MUST!
Keep it loose and unstructured
Let the guest-of-honor have a big hand in the planning

Here is a great link that will help.

Well, it depends on how you feel. He could have a coed party. A dance or something. Or a few guys over to stay the night. Seems to me that boys don't seem to like having huge blowouts normally but, for a thirteenth birthday...that's a big day.

So coed dance or a few guys over. Probably stay away from big theme parties...Pirates or the Caribean and stuff like that. Don't go and decorate unless you decide that there will be girls over. And don't get those decorated plates and cups and tablecloths in the "theme" type parties.

Keep it simple.

Lazer tag is always fun (trust me, I'll still play when I'm eighty probably) or go-karting, or paintball. Oh, and another good idea is to let them go nuts with some coke and mentos (away from the house) before you leave or after you go.

paintballing, lazer tagging, or just take him and his close friends out to dinner ...also i dunno where you live but if you have a dave and busters near you that could be fun because it has both food and games in one. good luck!

lasertag

I need more information to help!!! Where do you live? What does he like? If you live near a beach or lake, go kite flying,(after you spend some time with the kids putting them together, or building them or....) if he likes sports and you have a good team, take a few of them there, go Paintballing...or to a 'guy' movie with hot dogs and the works afterwards, or to a place to go horseback riding, or to the fair, it depends so much on what your locality is like and what his interests are. I hope something helped? Build a 'theme' around what some of his favorites are.

Depending on his maturity a paint ball party, they are expensive, an inside pool party, also don't know what weather we are taling about. An overnight at a cabin in a state park for hiking and etc.

My friend's friend just took her 13 year old son and his friends to Hooters and he thought that was the *best* time ever! Personally, I do not think I'd take a kid to Hooters, but to each their own; it is a family restaurant.

Maybe you could take him and his friends to some sort of sports event? Like a hockey game or something?

When I was that young, my friends and I always thought it would be awesome if our parents would rent us a hotel room to have our party at so we could stay up really super late and use the indoor pool, and go to the movie theater at the hotel.

You should ask him what he wants to do and where he wants to have it.
Some teens just like having their friends over to stay the night and watch movies while others want to go bowling still or even do it at an arcade game place. One of the guys in my middle school class when I was younger went bowling though and his friends found it to be lame. I think it just depends on the group of friends he has and his opinion of what he wants to do.

~Go-Kart's
~Paint Ball
~Movies
~Big Party
~Have him take 2 of his friends to the beach.
~Beach for the week (with friends of his choice)
~Pool Party

MY B-DAY WAS THE 19TH AND I JUST TURNED 13,MY MOM TOOK ME SKATING,IT WAS PRETTY FUN AND YOU GET TO MEET LOTS OF NEW FRIENDS

Bowling Go-Carting Paintball seem to all be good Ideas. Think about what kinda things your kid likes and maybe incorporate that in to the theme of the party.
