Should I do assigned seating for a 45 person baby shower?!
I am throwing a baby shower and 45 people have R!.S!.V!.P!.ed that they will be coming!. I will have 5 tables of 10!. Should I do assigned seating, or let people sit where ever they want!? It will be a sit down dinner!.

I suggest a casual seating arrangement so that your guests feel comfortable to mingle; however, you may want to designate a 'head table' for the new mom and her family members!. This gives them the opportunity to get first glance at the gifts, as well as priority meal service!. It sounds like it will be a lovely affair!Www@FoodAQ@Com
This is actually pretty similiar to the size of my baby shower that was in a restaurant!. We let people seat themselves and that worked out quite nicely!. Friends could move around and visit a little without feeling like they were stealing someone's seat and nobody was unhappy with who they were sitting with!.

If you want people to interact I would assign seats!. Otherwise you will have the mommy-to-be family sitting together, the daddy-to-be family sitting together and so on!. I like to have assigned seats so people can get to know other people!. And it also helps the people that might not know anyone besides the mommy-to-be to meet new people!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
First of all, how nice! And to have 45 people that are kind enough to RSVP, I would have to say,oh yes!. That's just about enough people that the "scrambling" around for a seat could be !.!.!.well!.!.ugly!.Yes, take a few minutes to make some cute place cards that you can design or find online at so many places!. It will help in so many ways!. No one will feel left out if not "asked" to sit with someone & as I said, it will surely cut down on the confusion of "grabbing seats"!.!.!.LOL!. No I would not assign seats ,Let people sit where they want and get to know each other!.Most people will only be seated while eating other wise they will be up mingling and checking out the gifts you got!.Congrats and Best of luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
