Help! I Needs Some Ideas for a Valentine's Day/Wedding Reception Luncheon!?!

Question:

Help! I Needs Some Ideas for a Valentine's Day/Wedding Reception Luncheon!?

I'm getting married Feb 14th, yup, Valentine's Day. It's just going to be a small ceremony of close family members and friends, about 25 - 30 people. I'm trying to get ideas for a luncehon menu to be served buffet style at my apartment. I already figured a deli tray would be reccomended, and i have a strawberry champagne punch recipe. but otherwise, i have no idea as for salads? soups? otherwise. I have one friend who is vegan, so i want to make sure something is available for her, but also something that other people won't frown their noses upon. i have little desserts planned...chocolate tuxedo strawberries, chocolate oreo truffles, and of course wedding cake, so i'm good on that. but i would greatly appreciate some help. Remember, it's Valentine's Day...and yes my wedding day...so be creative!!! thanks in advance!!

Answers:
it sounds like strawberries are the theme! go with it...salads are wonderful with fresh strawberries (they go wonderful with balsamic vinegar). have a strawberry flavor for one of your wedding cakes. you could put some of the strawberries on skewers and make edible centerpeices for your tables..or table. (think boquet). as favors you could do tins of personized conversation hearts.

You had your question in here several days ago and apparently you didn't like any of the suggestions we gave you. Perhaps you should talk to your local caterer and see what sort of economical fare they can come up with for you.

If you are trying to do this yourself your best bet would be ready made finger food kept in your freezer so you can whip it out and heat it up in a pinch. Do you have a Costco near you? They have the BEST selection of party items.
Last gathering I went to had marinated tender turkey breast sliced 1/4inch thick on a tray with cheese squares of yellow and white on a bed of greens. Pretty.
