I dont know birmingham so can't recommend places BUT-

At the start of the evening pick names out of a hat- assigning 'golfers' with 'caddies'!. These basically hold eachothers score cards, to ensure no foul play!

Each pub has a particular drink- and most importantly, a par!. This decides how many goes it should take to drink a particular bev!. i!.e!. a pint might be 2 par, and glass of wine 4 par, a cocktail 3 par etc!. So like golf, the person at the end of the night with the lowest score wins! It's really best if this is all planned out in advance, trying to incorporate as many different drinks as poss into the evening!. This can all be put on the score cards, so that everyone knows where they're going, the par, and what drinks to buy etc!.

U also have 'bunkers', where the caddy has to hold the golfers drink, even when drinking from it, and vice versa!.

You can also only allow players to go to the toilet in pubs that are designated 'watering holes'!.

Plus you can have hole-in-one bonuses- if any golfer or caddy manages to drink a 3par or plus in one, they can choose ANY shot for their partner!.

Of course you might find that people occasionally refuse to do a drink altogether, in which case have some forfeits ready!

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

there are a couple of bars around where Innisfree is!. Then there is a bar called bourbon street which is pretty cool, and the Blue Monkey which is a martini bar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
