Question: Finger food for party for 15 people!?
I'm hosting a party next week for about 15 people!. I need recipes for finger food that can be made in advance where poss as I only have a mini-oven (I want to make as much of it as I can myself as a few of them are chefs!)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Play it safe and give good quality food!.!.!.your chefs can't criticise you for that!. A few suggestions would be: cream cheese and chopped celery in wholemeal bread sandwiches, small sausage rolls, open bread finger sandwiches with egg mayo and tuna mayo, small cube cheese and green and black grape on cocktail sticks, corn chips and salsa type dip, small crudites of carrots, cucumber and celery with garlic mayo dip, warm slim vege and/or meaty pizza slices, hot onion rings, potato crisps, nuts and Bombay mix in bowls with serving spoons, fruit kebabs on cocktail sticks made up with sliced Kiwi fruit, Mandarin orange, pineapple piece and half strawberry if they're not expensive, breadsticks, cold pork pies, chicken drumsticks, etc, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

humus dip with crudites (vegetable strips) and have toast with the crust taken off and crackers to dip in too!.

Vegetable fritters eg!. broccoli, peppers, carrot, mushroom, in batter and deep fried!.

deep fried camembert with relish

Thai fish cakes with sweet chilli sauce

Make a Spinach Dip (use the recipe on the box of Knorr vegetable soup mix); put it into a hollowed-out sourdough round; wrap in foil & saran and refrigerate overnight!. Serve with sliced baguettes !.!.!.!.!.!.

Fresh salsa can be made the day ahead !.!.!. cheeseballs can be made the day ahead !.!.!.veggie/dip platters (wash & slice the veggies & keep in plastic baggies overnight in refrigerator) !.!.!.devilled eggs can be made the day ahead

I'd also have some bowls of nuts, pretzels & M&Ms; and a platter of small cookies and browniesWww@FoodAQ@Com

My family and I love this dip!.

Helen’s Bread Dip
This really is good

1/3 cup light mayo/salad dressing
1 ? cup fat free sour cream
? # lean corned beef, chopped fine
2 tsp beau monde spice
2 tsp dill weed
2 tbls chopped onion
2 tbls dried parsley


Mix all together and refrigerate at least 2 hours!.

I loaf of round, pumpernickel bread!. Hollow out the bread into a bowl, cutting the pieces into dipping size!. Put the dip into the hollowed out bowl!.

Note: Beau monde spice is difficult to find!. An acceptable substitute is Celerbration, available online from www!.obiecue!.com



AND this cheese log is outstanding!.

Cheese Logs

1 – 8 ounce package cream cheese – softened
1 jar cheddar cheese spread – softened
2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
? teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup finely chopped pecans

Mix 1st 4 ingredients thoroughly, roll in chopped pecans!. Wrap in waxed paper and chill until serving!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Something that my friends and I LOVE, is when you get regular wheat thins, and put pizza sauce on top, and then cheese and a peporoni, its like a little pizza and it tastes GREAT! Another one is mini bagels, with creme cheese and fruit healthy and great!
