It could be one of four things.
Swingers have something called a key party. The male in each couple throws his keys into a bowl, and they have a drawing of sorts---So if Jim draws John's keys, Jim has a go at John's wife/girlfriend.
It could be an orgy, where larger groups engage in sex acts all together.
It could be a party (especially among teens) where everybody goes and has sex with their own partners, but in the same place and at the same time.
Or you might have misunderstood, and it could be a sex TOY party, which is like a Tupperware party for dildos and edible underwear.

Well, if a Cocktail Party is one with cocktails, and a Suprise Party is one with a suprise, and a Tupperware Party is one with Tupperware, and a Candle Party is one with Candles, and a Birthday Party is for someones Birthday, then what would you think is at a Sex Party?

Okay. first time I heard this I asked the same thing. My friends meant a sex toy party.
This is like a pampered chef party or whatever where a consultant comes into a house and shows you all this different stuff. Usually there are light snacks, fun games, and a few red faces.
