Superbowl party?!

Question:

Superbowl party?

Any creative ideas for food and cocktails for a superbowl party? I was planning on having chips and taco dip and probably also some salsa I have a full bar pretty much so I am wondering if anyone has fun footbal related drink ideas or food. Also anything to do for the people (like me) who arent that interested in watching the game?

Answers:
Well I asked this question as well. I didn't get any really good answers to it. But, I will will tell you what I do every year. I have 3 football shaped bowls, they have 3 sections in them - a big middle where i put chips and then two smaller side sections for the dip. I put salsa in one, cheese dip in another and guac in one. I also make chili and have a bunch of extras so people can "top" thier chili. Have some sour cream, red onion, diced, shredded cheese...whatever you want. (Crackers). Also, I am having 100 wings, different varieties for different tastes. I will be making taco dip too, in a 9 X 13 pan layer refried beans, sour cream that has been blended with a taco seasoning packet, shredded mexican cheese, sliced black olives and sliced green onions, serve with chips.

You could also have a meat and cheese platter and buns or breads available with different flacvored mayo's and mustards.

Whatever you make your friends will like because if they are anything like my friends, a free meal is a free meal and they will inhale everything in your house.

Oh, you can buy football themed bowls and platters at Garden Ridge or Walmart.

We're serving a big-a** pot of chili with all the fixin's on the side and I am also making Decorated cookies, boneless buffalo wings, nacho dip and serving Nancy's Spirals. oh, ya, and lots and lots of BEER! : )

A buy a 6ft sub or grinder what ever you know it by, extra hot buffalo wings, honey BBQ wings, 7 layer taco dip, cheese and crackers, chili, cocktail wieners rolled up in crescent rolls, chips and dip, sodas and beer. For dessert, what else but a football decorated cake !! I'm usually cooking while the game is on. Not too interested in the game, only the commercials.

Last year the two superstars of my super bowl party were meatballs (plain in the crock pot with barbecue sauce and grape jelly, let simmer all day) and just plain old chocolate chip cookies. Simple and easy to eat. We had chips and salsa and nuts and wings as well.

Good luck and have fun!!
