Party planning?!
Party planning?
Ok, so I'm planning a party, and it's the first time I've ever had to plan one, it's going to be at evening, with a few friends about ten or so people. There's so much to think about, so far the only things I've decided on, that it's going to be somewhat of a premiere party, it's going to be outdoors and there's going to be dinner and a toast and then a viewing of their film. A few of my friends have helped me to decide possible themes for the party by making themed music playlists (I know, it doesn't SOUND that useful but it kinda helps) they've got a trance-like summery sounding one, a hip-hop "crunk" one, and a relaxing, electronic. And I have NO ideas on how to plan ANY of them. It's so much to think about!
So, if you can tell me which theme you like the best for a party, a fun and creative non-alcoholic drink that can be served in wine glasses, foods that are quick and delicious, and possible dress codes.
Answers:
Well as far as the music, I think you can pull all three off!! Have the relaxing/electronic music playing while the guest are arriving and during dinner!! Then Play the Hip-Hop and Trance for the guest to dance to after the viewing of the film and the toast!!
You can do Sparkling Cider in Wine Glasses or Fruit smoothies!!
If you do smoothies make sure you make them w/fresh fruit and place a piece of the fruit on the ring out the class and insert a small/skinny straw!!
Foods that would be quick and delicious Appetizer you can have grilled chicken strips, throw some Green, Red, and Yellow Peppers in for Decore!! Then For the Main Course you can do Baked Salmon over a Rice Pilaf and for dessert I would contact a Specialty Bakery a get a cake made into the shape of film tape!!
When you mentioned Premiere party & viewing their film this link came to mind for ideas:

Have a great time.
You should have an oscar theme with a red carpet and everyone in sharp suits and lovely dresses. Fancy-like food in a buffet. Canopes and stuff like that. Think about having candles and low flowing material on tables and chairs. Adds atmosphere.
