Birthday Ideas for you - cakes and presents!?
Ive read alot of people on here are after bday pressie ideas,or cake ideas...
I sculpt mini versions of people -personalised cake toppers -to either go on cakes (or next to them) or to give to the birthday person as a gift. The sculptures stand 18cm high & are sculpted to look exactly like the person. Not only hair colour & skin colour- but facial features are carved to resemble the person very closely, Its something they can look back on in years to come & remember what they used to look like and their interests -u can have them sculpted with their hobbies too - fishing rod, cat, shopping bags, golf club etc
I e just started this business here in Australia (no one else, i have found, does it) - and would like to know everyones opinion on it?
Would it be something you'd think about getting as a present 4 someone,or for yourself as a cake topper..??
Its also popular for wedding cakes.
Not sure how to go about advertising something like this- without huge costs to begin with ???

I would give pamphlets etc to party planning and wedding planning shops to hand out in their info packs. Or maybe visit wedding shows and hand them out. this would be a low cost way of getting the word out about your business. as it grows, perhaps advertising in wedding magazines, and build a website for your business.
i probably wouldnt be interested for a birthday cake or something, but think it would be good for a wedding or graduation cake.
